From that day on, Y/n constantly did her best to assist the troll hunter the best she could with his missions. The months had gone on and Y/n had helped them with many tasks, uncovering the changlings in Arcadia, slaying Bular, even vanquished Angor Rot and bring Argh back.

The gang of hero's had gone through so much together, and now the time for the eternal night creeped ever closer, Merlin predicted it would take place the very next day at the battle of the bands. But until then, the young teens just had to keep undercover and continue to go to school until the fight of their lives arrived.

Y/n, Claire and Toby entered the history classroom, the last lesson of the day. The three sat down next to each other so they could chat with each other during lesson time. Coach Lawrence then entered the room, standing at the front of the class room before finally speaking.

"Alright kids, it appears Mr Strickler isn't here today, again, so I'll be teaching today's history lesson, got it?" The tone in his voice made it pretty obvious that that last part was a rhetorical question so the class just remained silent.

Coach Lawrence then held up a piece of paper in front of him and skimmed through it. Y/n guessed it was a list of tasks the students needed to do.

"Ok, um, grab a piece of paper and take notes on this video I guess..." muttered Coach unsurely but loud enough for everyone to hear.
"Oh! And uh it says use a ruler to draw the lines on, we don't have any lined paper at the moment." He added before turning to the computer to put the video on. It took him a while though.

"Ruler...?" Muttered Y/n in a confused tone. Claire overheard her murmurs and turned to face her.
"It's one of these, it makes all your lines straight" explained Claire holding a ruler out as a demonstration. Y/n then proceeded to copy what Claire was doing.

"Seriously Y/n you've been going here for like ages now! How do you not know how to use a ruler!" Raged Toby under his breathe.
"We'll I'm sorry if troll hunting missions take up many days at a time." Replied Y/n sarcastically. By this point Coach Lawrence had managed to put the video on, unknowing that this was the exact video they had watched last time. Y/n noticed this and decided to just hand in the notes she took last time so she could zone out for the rest of the lesson.

"Y/n?" Asked Claire.
"Huh, what?" Blurted Y/n snapping out of her day dreams.
"Sorry I zoned out for a second there." She mumbled.
"Forget a second we've been talking for like, the whole lesson! How have you not noticed?" Whispered Toby loudly. Y/n dwelled on Toby's words for a while before Claire finally broke the silence.

"It's fine Y/n, the eternal night is tomorrow, I'm worried to" assured Claire with a honey sweet smile. Y/n knew deep down that wasn't what was bothering her but decided to go with it as not to create a fuss.
"Yeah I'll try to concentrate more, sorry..." she mumbled.

"Alright! Class is over! You can all go home now!" Boomed Coach Lawrence clearly exhausted.
"Cmon let's get to Jim's" ordered Claire as she stood up.
"Actually, I have to grab some of my books first, I'll meet you guys there when I'm done!" Replied Y/n as she left the class room.

After Y/n picked up her books, she started making her way towards the school exit. Once she left the building and into the school yard, she started walking towards the school gate. Her gaze was locked onto the floor with anxiety. She had been feeling uneasy all day, she had no idea why, but she just decided to ignore it thinking it was just nerves.

'THUD' Y/n fell onto the hard cobblestone path, her books scattering everywhere. Once she realised what had happened she frantically shoved her books back into her bag when she heard someone's voice.
"Sorry about that, need any help?"
