"Josh, babe, please.  I can tell you're excited but it's three am." Freya groans down the phone.  She was tired, she wasn't in the mood for any type of phone call, never mind a phone call with an excitable and probably drunk Josh.

"I know, I know, I know," He scrambles, apparently not being able to talk as fast as he would like, "I just want to tell you that I do want a baby.  I really do."

A grin breaks onto Freya's face and she smashes her head into her pillow, "Okay.  That's good, I'm happy.  I love you, can I go back to sleep now?  We'll talk about it tomorrow."

"Yeah.  Good night, I love you!" Josh chimes, way louder than he has to be.

"Night, don't drink too much." A few beeps pass through the phone and Freya drops it on the bed, rolling over and sitting up.

She knows she isn't going to be able to sleep now so she wanders down the stairs and to the kitchen, grabbing a glass of water and moving on to the living room with it.

Freya sits drinking her water and staring at a blank television screen until feet patter in and a voice carries over the ever present silence.

"What are you doing up?  Are you okay?"

She looks up and sees Rosie stood at the living room door in light grey pajama bottoms and a baby pink vest top.  Silently, she nods her head, feeling that if she spoke that she wouldn't be able to contain her mix of fear and excitement.  She had understood why she was so excited but was trying to get to the bottom of where her fear was coming from.  Her theories were that, even though she isn't yet, last time she was pregnant she was scared.  She was out of her depth, left stranded in the deepest parts of the ocean alone and her mind obviously associated that with now because, hopefully soon, she was going to be pregnant again.  The only difference would be that this was planned.

"I couldn't sleep." She whispers, adjusting how she is sitting so there is space for Rosie on the couch.  Rosie may be a bitch a lot of the time, but she was Freya's best friend and she wouldn't trade her for the world.  She had been there for her when no one else was and, granted, she didn't talk to her about Josh much but that was because she wasn't comfortable with it.  Never had she ever wanted to voluntarily talk to anyone about her relationship with Josh but she chose Tobi as a likely candidate when she needed to because he was her best friend and his best friend.  He saw both sides of the argument, always.  Rosie, on the other hand, was better at coming to you to help you when you don't even realise you need it.  Like taking you shopping after you lived in your room for months because you broke up with your boyfriend of four year for unknown reasons.  Reasons that apparently everyone knows, even Rosie, and Freya had been surprised when Rosie wasn't mad but just comforted her and apologised for being hard on her.

"Josh phoned," She states simply, staring at Rosie with a blank expression, still trying to figure out how she really feels, "he wants to try for another baby."

Rosie's eyes widen and she sits down, taking Freya's hand in hers and giving it a little squeeze.

"And how do you feel?" She asks quietly, her studying psychology coming in handy yet again.

"I'm happy, I said to him that I wanted another but he needed time.  I guess I'm just a little scared but who wouldn't be?"

"Right.  I can understand that.  Hug?"

Freya nods and leans into Rosie and after a while she begins to feel tired again so she buds goodnight to her friend and heads upstairs, falling asleep as soon as her head hits the pillow.

-------------------------------

"Frey bae?  Kim, Cal and I are going out for some breakfast, I don't want to third wheel!  Will you come with?" Rosie shouts, knocking obnoxiously loud on Freya's bedroom door.  A loud groan emits from her mouth as she swings her legs over the bed.

"Do I have to get dressed?" She calls, staring down at her bunny rabbit onesie.  It isn't like she had never been out in public in it, in fact, she enjoyed the weird stares she got from people.  An image of her walking around London in an animal onesie whilst heavily pregnant popped into her head and she smiled, feeling even more excited.

"No." Rosie replies, feet pattering as she obviously skips away from the door and down the stairs.

And that's why, when we join 'squad' in a small cafe, Freya is in a onesie that has ears and a fluffy tail as well as a button on the breast that makes the noise of a rabbit eating when pressed.  She feels superior, like all of her subordinates should be bowing at her great rabbitness.  They don't, sadly.

A young girl, probably the same age as Freya, with naturally red hair and carrying a babies car seat, walks up to their table.

"Excuse me?  Are you Freya Nightingale?" She asks, stumbling and stuttering constantly.  Freya squint her eyes to see if she recognises the girl but she doesn't, not at all.

"Yeah, I am.  Why?" She cautiously stares at the girl, who currently looks the definition of nerves.

"Um, I'm a friend of Simon's.  I was just wondering whether you could give him this?" She produces an envelope from her pocket, "I was going to post it but I don't know his address and this is really important." She's flustered and red faced, small tears pricking the corners of her eyes.  A wail comes from the car seat and she is immediately bending down and fussing over the small child, who seems to be around six months old with a small tuft of blonde hair on its head.  Freya guesses it's a boy from his completely swaggin' outfit, complete with coat, t-shirt and jeans.  The women sticks a dummy in the babies mouth and he soon shuts up and she stands again, looking expectantly at Freya.

"Yeah.  'Course.  Can I ask your name?" Freya reaches out and removes the letter from her grasp.  Looking at the name 'Simon Minter' written neatly across it and underlined with a curly scribble.  She also can't help but notice a 'White and Case' law firm stamp in the top corner of the envelope.

"Thank you!  Suzie, my names Suzie."

Freya just gives her a small smile and she walks off.

"That was weird." Cal chimes from across the table.

Chapter 25 sneak peek:

‘Simon sighs, "How am I supposed to do that though?  I'm only twenty one and I can't even afford it!"

"Bullshit.  You have plenty of money and you have us too.  Age is just a number baby." He says, wiggling his eyebrows at the end.

"Ugh." Simon groans, pulling his phone out, "You make me feel sick."'
