Alessio's POV
my sleeping schedule is fucked up to say politely, whenever I get the sleep it's usually for fewer hours than what is needed for a human body, which is 8 hours of sleep. but we are one of the people who don't get the privilege of sleep, we get basic sleep barely and having a full 8 hours is something which we get seldom. so it was a surprise to me when I woke after 3 hours of sleep because of getting a nightmare again, even though David is dead to the world, he won't ever be dead to us because he lives in our mind rent fucking free. he is embedded in our brain that even at night, he shows up.
this time, It was of the day David tried to put a mixture of unknown chemicals inside our bodies. he does that frequently but this time, he was in a bad mood and wanted to take it out on us, so he mixed random chemicals in front of us and started putting them on a burner so they get fully concentrated. he had that angry look on his face his time which scared us a little because usually he had a sickening evil smile on his face so when this time he had pure anger and didn't care what he put in our bodies, that terrified us.
It was one of the most dreadful days of my life. He decided that he would test it on Adina because she had the most pain tolerance and mental capacity among us three. so to see if that combination brings her to scream means it will hurt her twice more than her. that is one of the reasons she is the main target most of the time, if she screams meaning everyone will scream at that solution.
When he injected her with that unknown chemical, nothing happened for 1-2 hours so he thought nothing would happen. He then unclipped us so we can leave the room. He left the room not before beating us which at time point was normal for us. After another hour we also thought nothing would happen so we went to our room, which was a basement at that time but As Adina took the first step towards the stairs, her body fell, I and Amir got scared so we ran towards her and started to check what happened to her. We couldn't find what was happening but it was increasing as she started screaming very loudly. I was terrified at that moment because she doesn't scream even if they break her bones. So whatever was happening inside her body was very unbearable.
I and Amir were checking her to see where her injury was but we couldn't find it. I had a suspicion that it was because of that unknown chemical. Suddenly I noticed that her breathing was slowing down. By now we both were crying non-stop. We tried everything in our power to save her from our medical knowledge. We couldn't go to the hospital because it was almost 2-3 hours away.
Then abruptly her breathing stopped, and she died. I was trying to give her CPR and was doing every medical thing possible to bring her back. Amir was also doing his best to make her breathe again. Then suddenly her heart started beating again and she gasped. I and Amir were still shocked at what happened right now. We got to know that the chemical was too overpowering for her system so the system started to shut down.
