**Luke Peters**
Falling asleep with the love of my life resting next to me, you would think I am the happiest man alive. I was until I opened my eyes and seen I was alone. I searched my entire room and there was no sign of her anywhere. So as I went to leave my room and knock on her door, I step on a piece of paper that was folded. The first thing that popped in my head was another note from the people who took Mirror's dad and now I'm there next target. Well when I picked up the note and read what was inside, my heart dropped more than it would have if it was a warning.
So here I am sitting on my couch with the note, which is now crumbled in my hand, and with a blank expression.
I lost another person who meant the world the to me and who knows when Mirror will come back.
She could open the door at the every moment and run into my arms..
Or she could come back tomorrow, a week or even a month but what scares me the most is what if she never comes back.
***Mirror Rose***
By now I'm pretty sure that Luke has read my note already. Leaving without physically saying goodbye is crushing me from the inside out. Meeting someone and at first I couldn't stand the feelings I had towards him so I hid them away. Soon I noticed that the more I did, the stronger the feelings got so just when I thought it was real is when it ended.
Now Im on some wild goose hunt trying to find my father and figure out what Amanda has against my mom, who hasnt barely looked at me since we left the school and drove to the airport in my car. She only told me about the phone call that Amanda simply wanted us out the school and out the state of Oregon. Another phone was hidden under the bed, they're probably using phones that are untraceable so if we decided to go to the police they couldn't be found.
My mom wants us to head to her place in California, some man is suppose to meet us there. Apparently he helped my mom stay under the radar during the past years until recently. He's apart of some secret service and well trained in many areas. I could careless, all that matters is getting my dad back safe and sound and if that means risking my life for him than so be it. But I still can't shake this feeling that my mom is holding the major piece of the entire puzzle. Every time I see her glance at me and I acknowledge her looking, she looks away with pain in her eyes. What's the pain for? Your guess is as good as mine.
'Flight 326 to Sacramento, California now boarding' the lady over the intercom announced.
"Well Mirror that will be us," My mom grabbed her bag and started to walk towards the boarding gate, I forced myself to do the same. Once again leaving my car alone until I can get it which probably won't be for awhile.
The plane wasn't crowded, only about 15 people occupying the seats in First Class. I took the one furthest away from the window. If I saw the world outside knowing what I was leaving behind, it would be possible that I would've told my mom to 'go to hell and do it alone' but I need my father just as much as he needs me.
***4hours later***
My mother's apartment looked like any other single person place. Nice furniture, nice decorations...blah blah blah. Life
without children.
"Mirror ssweetheart, " my mother called from the kitchen. " Come here there is someone you have to meet." Her tone of voice was very serious.
"Yeap." I entered the kitchen and stopped in my tracks as I saw a man bigger than a man should be able to grow. Not only was he tall , I say about 6'8, but his body was pure muscles. His head was shaved and only hair visible was under his bottom lip. With one stare, he could rip you to shreds.
