**Mirror Rose**
Everyone looked at me with terrified expressions except my mother, she looked stunned and shocked by my actions. I'll admit I was too, throwing the phone and watching as it smashed into pieces was unlike me but boy did it feel good. My thoughts still replayed the conversation with Amanda, it still puzzled me that she had anything to do with this and how she knew my mother. Amanda's tone was cold and angry, like something was taunting her as she relived whatever that made her feel that way.
My mother was a big part of this and somewhere deep down inside of me I felt like I didn't know anything or not all of it. And that's a huge problem for me. I need to know the truth before I defend anyone including my mother.
"Hey," I spoke up gaining everyone's attention. I ran my fingers through my hair that still hung down my back. I was still in my dress which surprised me as much as I hate dresses, I never changed. "Can you guys leave me and my mother alone for a little while. We need to uh.. um discus some important information." Delilah and Jezabell shouldn't have any part of this and seeing how Jezabell looked from the beating just made me more angry. She was the first friend I made here and I will do anything to protect her and Delilah.
"Sure," The girls stood to their feet and walked over to me. Delilah gave me a small smile then she hugged me. I gently hugged her back then turned my attention to a waiting Jezabell. Before she could say anything I pulled her into my chest and embraced her in a warm hug. She was my new best friend and not telling her about everything was kind of hard. "Jez," I spoke next to her ear. "I'm so sorry for what happened to you. You deserved none of this. "
"Mirror... I'm not sure what is going on with you or the exact reason I got my ass beat but," she chuckled while rubbing her sensitive rib where she was kicked. "I know you can't tell me about whatever is going on but I'll be waiting for whenever your ready to talk. And thank you " As she spoke her arms tightened around my shoulders, giving comfort to her words. "But I do know one thing and ask only one thing." I pulled back, letting our arms drop as I waited for her to continue. "I know your going to find her and when you do." She paused, " beat her ass for me."
I smiled when she finished her statement," oh trust me I plan too." I whispered low enough for her to hear me. She grabbed Delilah's hand walking out the door. I turned my attention to Luke who was sitting on my bed with his hand in his hands. My mother excused herself and went to the bathroom, closing the door behind her. When the door shut, Luke stood to his feet and closed the distance between us until was only inches between us. "Luke -" , he cut me off with his finger against my lips, my eyes went wide.
"Mirror promise me that your not going to do anything stupid."
As much as I wanted to make that promise my actions that would most likely take place in the next 24 hours would be considered reckless and stupid. "Luke I can't promise you that." His eyes held sadness and hurt. "They took my father. I just can't stand here while they have him doing God knows what. He doesn't deserve any of this, neither did Jezabell or you. Look what they did to Jez, I can only imagine the things they will do to a grown man. "
"Call the police, the FBI instead of you risking your life. What if something happens to you if you go?" His eyes never strayed from mine. I had thought about the possibly of me saving my father than me not making out in the end. I would do my best for that not to happen because I have yet to know what they want and what exactly they are capable of.
"Luke... how about we talk after I talk to my mother. I'll come over to your room and we can figure it all out." I lied. I knew what I wanted to do and my mind isn't going to change. But I gave him my best smile as he studied my face.
"Okay. " He half smiled, I knew he was still upset, it was clearly written all over his face. His warm hands ran the length of my arms stopping at my shoulders than I was pulled into his hard chest where he wrapped me in his arms as mine snaked around his waist.
