Chapter 22 Talk or else

The aftermath of the battle has come to a conclusion. The Abyss has failed to raid the city. Liyue Harbor was safe, Inazuma was never attacked yet. The enemies were trying to control both Mondstadt and Liyue before striking Inazuma. Soon Snezhnaya, Sumeru, Fontanie, and Natlan would have been next after the previously mentioned regions were taken.

All of the enemies were disposed of and many knights took Lumine into a prison cell. Aether begged the knights to let her go, Aether just wants to talk some sense to her. He misses his sister so much.

Paimon, Jean, and Diluc pulled him away from the knights so they could do their job. They tied her to a chair in a locked jail cell. Lumine was still not awake, which made the knight's jobs easier.

Venti and Barbara helped the poor traveler as he cried softly, his hands covering his face.

"Aether..." Venti hugged the poor Aether. Barbara followed his lead and aided the sad traveler.

"Aether, you will see her. But she has to pay for her crime. She almost tried to kill you and even us." Paimon said.

"She will be questioned. But wait-.....where the heck is that mysterious guy at?" Jean pointed it out.

"Who?" Amber and Paimon asked in unison.

"The blonde guy with a mask on his face." Jean described.

"Oh you mean Dain?" Paimon said, floating closer to Jean.

"That's a good question! Where the heck is he?" Venti said, rotating his head left to right to find the mystical Dain.

Venti and Zhongli noticed that this man "Dain" has a strange vibe around him, as if his vision was not like anything they have seen.

"Lisa, Kaeya, and Diluc, I want you three to search the area for that man." Jean commanded.

The three nodded and ran in a group, soon splitting up to detect where Dain went. Jean was gonna ask Eula, Mona, and Amber to help the knights interrogate the girl.

But as the three were about to go in, the blue eye harbinger jumped in and wanted to help.

"Allow me to help as well." Childe offers.

"But you're not a knight of-" Amber was cut off as Jean silenced her with her hand.

"You're friends with Aether, and your friend Zhongli is also friends with Aether. Anyone who is friends with the honorable knight is a friend of mine. Please have my permission to aid my friends here." Jean said.

Mona, Eula, and Amber weren't so sure about this male coming along with them, but they all just shrugged and went along with it.

As the group went into the underground dungeon where Lumine was locked in, to question her. The people and comrades wanted to know why she did this and if she still had any other minions who might come to rescue her.

They went inside to see Lumine awake, trying to break free from the chains.

"Easy now. Now you're Aether's sister right?" Amber said politely.

Lumine didn't respond, but her expression was displaying a hatred look. Her golden eyes were slowly turning red as she gritted her teeth.

"Vengeance will be mine! This low life scum tried to hurt the city. She must pay for her actions!" Eula muttered.

"Hang on, let's not do anything too dangerous. If we do something wrong and accidentally kill her, we'll be blamed and most likely be locked up as well." Mona warned.
