"Nat, you coming?" You asked your best friend.

"Yeah, just let me grab my jacket!" She shouted back.

"You should probably go say goodbye to your fiancée, it's the last time you'll see him before the wedding." You grinned.

Nat agreed and went back to her and Steve's bedroom where Steve was lying watching a football game.

You sat down on the sofa because knowing Steve he will keep her there as long as he could, they barely spent a night apart so this would probably be difficult due to separation and nerves.

The wedding was tomorrow and despite the non traditional wedding that Steve and Nat were going for, the soon to be wed pair had still chosen to spend the night apart. Nat was going to sleep over at your apartment and Bucky was coming over to stay with Steve, Bucky had insisted on joining Steve tonight to stop him from shitting his pants with nerves.

You and Nat were going to pick your parents from the airport and take them out for dinner to a restaurant, and they had insisted that Natasha tagged along.

"Stevie, I got beer and vodka, you're gonna need it!" You heard the infamous voice yell as he sauntered through the door.

"Y/N? What you doin' here?" He said, noticing you sitting in the living room on your own.

"I'm taking Nat tonight, remember." You reminded.

"Oh yeah- I forget you're friends with Romanoff."

You nodded awkwardly, he was trying not to be a prick around you, remembering how pissed off you got at him easily.

"Uhm... How's things with the firm name change?" You asked, trying to make conversation.

"I may or may not have blocked my fathers number from my phone."

You let out an unexpected laugh, breaking your strictly no emotions at all guard you kept up in front of Bucky.

You noticed the corners of his lips twitch when you laughed at his statement.

Guess I almost got Barnes to show some emotion too.

"Sounds like you're walking on thin ice, Barnes."

"It's fine, I'll unblock him after the wedding, I just cannot be bothered with that mans bullshit right now."

Before you could continue the conversation, your best friend walked back into the room, stopping you from learning more about the relationship Bucky had with his father, you were surprised at how much he had told you despite you not particularly liking him.

"Are you sure you want me to come? You haven't seen your family in so long." Nat argued.

"Don't be ridiculous, Nat. You are family."

You could have sworn you saw Nat tear up slightly, you could tell how much a phrase as small as that meant to her, but if you ever mentioned that to her you knew she would deny it instantly.

"Mom text a few minutes ago saying they landed. Mom and Dad flew first class so they're just waiting on Maria to get her luggage." You said as you pulled up at the airport pickup bay.

"Maria is your moms nurse right?" Nat double checked.

"Yeah."

You both sat in the car looking at the people walking out of the airport looking for your parents. To keep yourselves entertained Nat began to guess peoples names and stories.

According to your best friend the presidents personal chef who was actually a Russian spy undercover had just got off of a plane that came from Paris.
