A/N- Smut warning

———————————————————

Saturday flew in, and putting on a tuxedo and pretending to be someone he's not was last on Buckys I-want-to-do-list right now.

The firm was closed today for everyone to get ready for event to announce Buckys official partnership, you were working in the morning and wouldn't be home until after lunchtime, and Steve and Nat, who had also been invited, were at their own place. So Bucky was just sitting in your apartment waiting for you and feeling sorry for himself, watching TV.

When you were packing up your things to leave for the day, you had an unexpected guest in your office.

"Leaving so soon?" He asked, his body pressed up against the door frame, his arms folded.

"Uh, yeah. Afternoon plans." You replied, shutting down your laptop.

"Those plans don't have anything to do with the Barnes', do they?"

"And why would it matter if they did? Tony?"

"Because they're pretentious pricks and I don't like them."

You sent your boss a glare.

"Okay, the younger one is okay. I saw him the other day," He said before pausing, "Actually forget I said that I did not see him the other day. But you should stay clear of Barnes senior."

"You saw Bucky?" You asked, your eyes lighting up.

"Noooo." He said suspiciously.

"Tony-"

"Look, Y/N, I know you're all lovey-dovey with the Bucky kid, but just a word of warning. That family have a bad reputation for being well, jerks. Just watch your back."

"Consider my back... watched?"

"You don't need a bodyguard, do you? Because I have a guy on speed dial-"

"I'm sure Bucks dad is completely fine, Tony. You're probably overreacting and being way too overprotective of your employee than you have to be." You sighed.

"Come on, Y/N/N, you know your much more than an employee to me. You're like my own kid."

"I love you, T. But everything will be fine, I promise."

"Y/N-"

"What if I promise to call you if anything goes wrong?" You compromised, "Would that make you feel better?"

"Much." He smiled.

After finishing your work day early you returned home to be pleasantly surprised by Bucky sitting on your couch.

"Babe, what are you doing here?" And then you stopped, jaw on the floor and a laugh emerging from your body, "Oh my god are you watching the princess diaries? Well at least you chose the second one; that one is the best."

Bucky blushed slightly before turning to you. "It's entertaining, gimme a break."

In all honesty Bucky couldn't help but relate to the Nicholas guy. Being forced into something you don't want to do by a parental figure, sound familiar?

"You've not been sitting in your tux all day, have you?"

"I have been ready for this goddamn thing since 6am this morning. I tried to catch you before you left for work again but got held up with a stupid friend phoning me. Well actually I wouldn't call him a friend he's just a waste of space who eats all the food in my fridge."
