A/N: Warnings, car sex ;)

Just like promised, you and Bucky spent the entire day before thanksgiving with your parents. You took your mom in her wheelchair down to the hollywood walk of fame, it was only about a 35 minute drive from their house so everyone was up for it. After that Bucky took your family out for lunch insisting that he paid which your parents thought was very generous of him.

Most people would think that was Bucky just trying to get into their good books, but you knew for a fact that Bucky was just a genuinely nice person when it came to things like that.

The small guest room you and Bucky were staying in was very empty, your parents hadn't put much effort into decorating it as they didn't normally get many visitors and you hadn't stayed overnight here since they moved in, but they said in the future that you and Bucky could feel free to decorate it however you wanted since it was probably going to be mainly you two that slept there.

Bucky at first had been hesitant to sleep in your parents house at all. Even though he had shared a bed with you almost every night since the first time he slept over at yours, the fear of his nightmares happening still loomed over his head.

No matter how many times you told Bucky that it was going to be okay, that you would be there to help him with his nightmares if he ever needed it, he just didn't want anyone to have to witness the trauma that he relived at night.

Eventually you had persuaded him that the idea of going off to a hotel on his own was ridiculous for the fact that Los Angeles hotels were insanely overpriced, and that you would miss him if he left to sleep somewhere else.

So yes, you did guilt trip your boyfriend into staying.

"Happy thanksgiving, sweetheart." He kissed your forehead as you began to stir awake.

His arms were wrapped tightly around you, playing with strands of your hair with one hand, and rubbing your back with the other. Your head nuzzled into his bare chest, smiling to yourself because you get to wake up next to him every morning, well every morning that you can convince him to.

"Happy thanksgiving, Buck." You looked up to his face which was smiling down at you, giving him a huge grin.

"So what-"

"HAPPY THANKSGIVING!"

The bedroom door suddenly burst open and your mom and dad were standing, with huge enthusiastic smiles on their faces.

You were just glad you were fully clothed, well with the exception of Bucky sleeping shirtless.

"Good morning to you too." You groaned, the loud noise hurting your head.

It was too early for this.

You had forgotten about how all-out your parents went for thanksgiving. For some strange reason they were obsessed with it, unlike every other normal family who just got together for a meal.

Your parents weren't 'Christmas crazy' unlike you, Christmas was your favourite time of the year. But no, your parents had to be weird and make their favourite holiday thanksgiving.

Bucky looked at you, a confused but excited look on his face. He had mentioned that his family hadn't really celebrated many holidays as he grew up, so seeing that look on his face, you made it your challenge to make this holiday, and every other holiday you spent with him as special as you could to make up for his lousy father not caring enough to put in any effort himself.

"Hey, bud!" Bucky grinned into his facetime call as he ate the scrambled egg your dad had just made everyone for breakfast.
