Hi readers!
Thanks for stopping by :-)
Given the long lockdown and pandemic, I hadn't gone out to have coffee conversations, usual talks with others who are great source of inspiration, no traveling at all and being stuck overseas - missing family and friends.
Pretty much 90% of the time is literally just being locked down in the apartment.
Therefore I hadn't got any materials to write - an excuse, isn't it?
Because... Life goes on.
It was hard to write without any human interaction and without new interesting materials on the basis of my real life experiences (whether it is the beach, the exotic holidays in Taiwan, Philippines, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam or Dominican Republic, and those short silly adventures in Eastern Europe... or the anecdotes of real life people - from my friends in the LGBTQ+, my baby boomer friends and and my neighbours and acquaintances - they always have something funny to tell whether it is throwing shade to their colleagues to their imaginative mistresses and exes who broke their hearts etc.), but discipline should go a long way - always.
Nevertheless, I have seen this as an opportunity to catch up with books - thus a lot of reading.
One particular favourite book of mine for my pandemic read is:
'Bullshit Jobs' by David Graeber.
It is very unfortunate that David Graeber had passed last year (2 September 2020), and I was planning to contact him or bump into him in campus - sadly it was all too late.
Therefore, 'The Subordinate' is inspired by David Graeber's non-fiction book.
If I could write half as informative, half as funny, and quarter as good as David himself, then I'd consider myself a good writer.
I really do hope you enjoy, 'The Subordinate.'
Please feel free to comment, like and if you dislike something I am currently writing then feel free to comment.
Meanwhile, thank you for taking time to read this note, and feel free to connect and enjoy the next page.
