Chapter 8

Percy's POV

A day passed with me avoiding Nico completely. Was it a stupid and childish move? It damn right was but what else was there for me to do? I feel humiliated and awkward even looking at him now.

Maybe I should not have told him my true feelings afterall.

Well...looks like Nico really had no feelings for me. I saw him with Will this morning in school and the way they acted towards each other...it almost seemed that they were in love. Heart ache at it's finest.

It was confirmed when I overheard some girls in class gossiping about them.

"Oh gosh what? Will was gay all this while?"

"You don't say. He sure was. For Nico!"

I clenched my fist and went off in case I made a fool of myself in front of everybody. I took a seat on the bleachers and burried my face in my hands. What has my life come to?

"Hey? Uhm...Percy?" I heard a girl's voice. Wearily, I looked up only to make eye contact with a pair of bright green eyes.

"Y-yes? D-do I know you?" I inquired.

"I'm in the same class as you for Physics. Uhm...I'm not sure if you can remember. My name's Renee." She introduced and I nodded before going back to sulking.

"What's wrong? How can a bright, charming person like you be sad?"

Woah...is it just me or is she flirting?

"It's nothing really...just relationship problems." I admitted, refusing to look at her.

"C'mon. You can tell me."

"Just about some guy I like. Apparently he is in love with someone else." It burned to say that.

"You're gay for Nico?" Her voice sounded upset for some reason.

"To put it bluntly, yea. I am. How do you know?"

"Nico and Will might be the next hot item. Almost everyone knows!" She said, a glint of happiness in her eyes.

"Well okay. I should get going. Bye Miss Renee." I stood up and slung my bag over my shoulder before going off.

She just had to.

CHAPTER 8 WOOT WOOT!!! I have a one week break from school so I'm taking the opportunity to update more often :)
