Chapter 14

Percy's POV

Lots of things happened yesterday but the outcome was still good at least. Now I have one last thing to worry about. There's a possible chance that Nico and I could be together but then there's his parents. Damnnn.

I was walking to the lockers when I saw Lauren and Nico having a talk. Curiosity got the better of me and I hid behind a wall while eavesdropping on their conversation.

"Yea, I heard about everything from my parents." Lauren said casually.

"You're not mad or anything?" Nico inquired.

"What? Mad? Why would I? If you didn't know already, I was also against this arranged marriage thing. I have someone else that I like and sorry to say this, but you're not my type." She answered. Ooohhh the burn.

"Uhm...okay. Thanks?"

Soon after, Lauren went off and Nico spoke again. "Percy, I think that's enough eavesdropping you can come out of your hiding spot now." Shoot, he caught me.

"Sorry but I had to. The last part was epic. Looks like you were never her type to begin with!" I tried my bast to hold back my laughter.

"Yea, yea. Thanks a lot."

"Aww don't have to feel bad. At least you're my type." I winked. Oh gawd I feel so embarrassed now, but at least I succeeded in making him blush.

"Listen, Percy. Sorry for what happened lately. I swear I'm seriously thinking about our relationship and I'm planning on talking to my mum and dad about it tonight. So...could you...ya'know...wait for my response?" He said, playing nervously with his fingers.

"Of course, Nico." I agreed, pulling him into a hug.

"Percy what the heck are you doing? We're literally in plain view of all the students here!"

"And you think that's gonna stop me? I don't care what anybody else thinks." I smiled.

Nico's POV (woah this is new)

I was in my room blasting music when I heard the main door opening, signalling my parents were home.

I have been waiting all day to be able to talk to them about me and Percy. I am well prepared for the consequences...I think.

"Hey, mum? Dad? Uhm...we need to talk." I said as soon as they started heading upstairs.

"Okay sweetie but make it quick! I have a project to do tonight." Mum answered and I agreed.

Mustering all the courage I have, I went ahead and told them. Probably the first thing they would not want to hear after a long day at work.

"I'm gay."

An awkward silence filled the room, making me completely uneasy. "A-are you guys mad?"

My dad folded his arms and looked at me, still no words coming out of his mouth.

"Well, if we did get mad, it still wouldn't change anything right? So, no. We're not. In fact, I'm happy that you trusted us enough to tell us." Mum said, bringing me into a tight embrace.

"It's that Percy. Right?" Dad asked with a small smile and I nodded in response.

"Well that settles it. I've also been thinking that we were a little too hard on you. After all, you're only a teen. You should just get out there and enjoy life. Oh, but don't take it too far though." Mum reminded, holding back a laugh.

"You're saying?"

"The three rules are officially over." Dad stated and I hugged the both of them happily.

"Thank you so much you guys! You're the best! I'm pretty sure Percy would appreciate it greatly too."

When I exited their room, Reyna was already there, eyes gleaming. "O-T-P. Ahhhh! It's canon!!!"

I simply beamed at her. "Whatever you say, fangirl."

I'm thinking of making another Percico story but the PJO and HoO series have already ended so I was thinking if anyone even wanted to read it. :/ Oh well. We'll see. This is the 2nd last chapter by the way. Dam. *tears up*
