Chapter 12

Percy's POV

Nico came to school today with a girl tagging behind. I think her name was Layla? Or something? But that's not the point. Why is she with my Nico?

Love rival!!!

I must have been in deep shock because when Nico looked my way, he simply offered a weak smile. Gods this is so screwed up.

Last time I checked, it was quite impossible for Nico to hang around girls. Much less date one.

Urgh. Well if he had a girlfriend, he could have just told me instead of plainly rejecting me. Gawd who knew it was this hard to accept?

After school, I decided to go confront Nico about it. I didn't even care if he was going to hate me after this. I just wanted to know the truth. Okay...maybe I care. BUT JUST A LITTLE BIT!

"Nico! What is all this? I don't understand! Firstly you told me that you liked me. Then you said we could not go out. AND THEN you apparently have a girlfriend now?" Yup. That's what I will say to Nico later when I see him. Of course I'll pull it off. Psht.

[A/N: Well it kinda went like this though...]

I went up to Nico just as he was walking out of school with Layla. (?) Yeah...still don't know her name.

"Sorryyy but can I borrow Nico for a moment? Kay thanks a lot!" I continued even before she had a chance to answer me.

Nico gave me the are-you-being-serious-right-now look and I simply shrugged. "Well...what do you want?"

"Uhm...you see...uhh..." Damn. Not like I had practiced. "So...new girlfriend huh?" Yea...go me! Way to pull it off. *facepalm*

"What? No she's not my girlfriend."

Oh phew.

"Lauren's...how do I put it...my soon-to-be wife. In several years that's for sure." Nico stated like it wasn't a big deal.

What the heck?!

"Yea...but it's not that big of a deal I guess." Nico said while Laura called him over. "Got to go. See ya around Percy."

I sighed and decided to just take a nice stroll home to try and take my mind off my really messed up life. Even if it was just for a couple of minutes. Surprisingly, I saw Reyna walking home from school and she immediately ran up to me upon noticing me.

"Percy!!!"

I gave her a weak smile. "Hey."

"Ahh...you heard about it didn't you." She said and I nodded. "To think I really shipped you guys." Reyna said softly but it was loud enough for me to hear.

"Yea...not going to happen."

"I WILL GO DOWN WITH THIS SHIP! BUT IN THE MEANTIME, PERCY DO SOMETHING! You know, Nico didn't really want this relationship with Lauren."

"What are you talking about?" I stared at her as if she was out of her mind.

"You see..."

WOOOOO!!! FINALLY AN UPDATE!!! Yea...slight cliffhanger. :/ We have a one week break from school so I'll definitely update more. Stay tuned and thank you so much for staying and supporting my story though I update rarely. I love you guys!!! ❤
