Chapter 4

Percy's POV

It has been a few days since our Taco Bell 'date' and I want to hang out with Nico again. He did not object to me helping him break the nonsensical rules so yay! Today it's - Break rule: No skinship with anyone else except family members until 18.

I texted Nico during break and fortunately, he agreed and told me to wait for him at the school gate after school.

AHHH I'M SO EXCITEDDD! Wait...now I'm just sounding like Leo. Who is one of my other friends by the way. He's cool and has a really pretty girlfriend called Calypso but my Nico definitely looks better. Just saying.

As usual, lessons were boring and I could have fallen asleep but Jason placed a piece of paper under my table and as I read it, my energy level literally went from...probably negative one million to a full one hundred percent.

Jason said we could hang out at his place after school and I can bring Nico along. Best still, his mum is going to make red velvet cupcakes. YUM!

After school, I run to the school gate only to see Nico already there, patiently waiting while looking through his phone.

"Neeks! Sorry but there's a change of plans!" I said and he gave me a what-the-heck-are-you-talking-about face. "I mean, Jason is inviting us over to his place and yea...there's gonna be cupcakes!"

Nico's eyes lit up at the word of 'cupcakes' and we got on the bus to go to Jason's house.

At Jason's House ~

"Truth or dare! Truth or Dare!" Piper insisted, alongside Calypso. In the end, Jason gave in and we sat in a circle, ready to play truth or dare.

We thought we should play a game while waiting for the red velvet cupcakes so yea...

Jason spun the bottle and it landed on me.

"So, child, truth or dare?" Jason questioned with a smirk on his face.

"TRUTH! HELL YEA!" I yelled excitedly, receiving weird looks from the rest. "Ahem...I mean, dare. Of course. Psht."

Jason looked toward me and Nico before speaking. "This is rather mainstream but I guess it's cool. I dare you to, hug the person you think is the most attractive in this room."

I blushed a light pink before shyly hugging Nico who was sitting to my right. Oh gods, I'm freaking Percy Jackson. I should have been more confident! Oh well, it could not be avoided in this situation.

"Wait what? You find Nico attractive?" Calypso scoffed but she herself could not help but smile.

"Well yea, to be honest. I mean, have you touched his hair? Like clouds, I tell you." I admitted and turned to see Nico facepalming.

As the game continued, I leaned in closer to Nico and whispered, "Break Rule: No skinship with anyone except family members until 18. Mission accomplished."
