Chapter 10

Percy's POV

School started again for me as per usual and I was still slightly moody about the whole Nico issue. I thought that it would be easy to get over, but I guess I was wrong.

I was taken aback when Nico went to my classroom, wanting to talk to me.

The silence was painfully awkward but there was nothing much that I could do about it. Thankfully, it was broken when Nico soon started to speak.

"Percy...I'm sorry."

My eyes stung and I wanted to cry but I held it in. "No, it's okay. I'm the one who should be sorry. I should have known that you don't like me in that way. Now I've just jeopardized our friendship."

"What? No! That's not what I wanted to talk about. I just wanted you to know that I feel the same way. Even before you confessed. I only ran away because...because I was afraid. Afraid that you were doing it not out of your true feelings but just because you wanted to break all 3 rules. Which now, come to think of it, I'm so dead." Nico said, looking down at the ground.

"Wait...so you do like me? Didn't expect that- I mean, I'm really happy you feel the same way." I said, blushing.

"What a way to ruin the moment, Percy." Nico said with a displeased look on his face and I kept apologising, not wanting to lose him again.

Suddenly, he bursted out laughing.

"Sigh...you're so gullible, Percy...but I think it's adorable. Well, I should get going. Class is starting soon. Catch ya later!" Nico waved and winked at me before running off.

A short chapter here! I want to apologise for not updating a whole lot. Midterms are coming up and...yea... :'( Sorryyyyy!!!
