"You do realise that a bounty is on your head, ordered by the people whose house you'll be living in?" Elias told her, both of them taking the side entrance as they cascaded down the stairs.
"No, somehow I didn't think of that" Natalia sarcastically spoke, rolling her eyes as she began to walk quicker, wanting to get away from Elias and the fact he knew everything.
"Asleep for a couple days but your sarcasm never left, did it?" Elias told her, quirking an eyebrow as Natalia turned around, swatting him in the arm.
"Dick" Natalia muttered and Elias couldn't help a small chuckle emit from his mouth.
"Haven't lost your charm either."
Natalia simply rolled her eyes yet again, opening the side entrance door and checking no one was around. As the surroundings were clear, Natalia pulled back for a moment and grabbed a case from her pocket, opening it to reveal a pair of sunglasses.
"How many pairs of those do you own?" Elias asked, thinking of how it was always a different pair every time- she never wore the same pair twice.
"I don't know, I lost count when Dior sent Estela a suitcase full of them" Natalia told him and Elias just chuckled. He often forgot that Natalia was actually considered to be quite famous.
They quickly walked out of the side door as Natalia attempted to cover her face with her hair as much as she could so she didn't get recognised.
"I'm driving" Natalia blurted out, taking Elias by surprise at the firmness of her voice.
"Very funny, now pass me the keys" Elias spoke, a blank look on his face once he finished his sentence whilst Natalia just chuckled.
"Not a chance in hell, Ellie" Natalia told him, a smirk appearing on her face as they neared her motorbike.
"Well, I know a lost battle when I see one, Natty" Elias spoke as Natalia placed the keys in the ignition of the motorbike, turning around and being met with Elias' muscular chest.
Natalia looked up to meet his gaze, and it was different from the last time. There was no resentment anymore, it was more of a happiness, as if he was basking in the company of her.
And that's when she remembered- she nearly died that day.
Natalia quickly cleared her throat, tearing her gaze away from Elias and turning back to the motorbike.
"Get on, we don't have all day" Natalia uttered out and Elias simply complied. He knew Natalia wouldn't be in the best state right now, and he didn't blame her.
How could he? He was even more of a mess by just seeing a glimpse of her experiencing those things- he wasn't even on the receiving end of that pain.
They both soundlessly mounted the motorbike as Natalia started the engine, though a few seconds passed by and they were yet to move an inch.
"Natty?" Elias spoke, voice lowered as he could see Natalia's hands hovering over the handlebar, trembling slightly.
"I-I can't do this" Natalia told him, quickly getting off the motorbike and walking away, feeling as if her legs were only just managing to hold her up.
Elias immediately went after her, running up to her and standing in front of Natalia, both of his hands placed on her shoulders. He brought his index finger to her jawline, tilting Natalia's bowed head up as he saw tears running from her eyes.
Without even saying a word, he brought her in for a hug, hand cradling the back of her head as he let her head rest against his chest. He forgot how hard it would be for Natalia- to drive again, whether it be her beloved motorbike or a car similar to the one that killed her mother.
