"get in the car, loser. we have to pick my cousin from the airport." michael rubbed his tired eyes as he put a beanie over his newly dyed blue hair.
"yeah, yeah, i'm coming." michael opened the passenger door car and climbed in. luke's eyes slowly watched michael as he buckled his seat belt.
he's so beautiful. luke thought as michael took his hand in luke's.
"you are so cute when you are tired. you look like a kitten." luke kissed his cheek and michael smiled tiredly.
"awe!" rose squealed. luke and michael blushed. "are you guys dating?"
michael and luke just kinda looked at each other before luke said, "do you think we should date?"
"yes." michael looked at luke and luke looked at him.
"michael gordon clifford, will you do me the honors of being my boyfriend?" michael nodded excitedly and luke kissed his lips.
"yay!" rose clapped her hands together and smiled.
"ok, we have to go pick up em."
-
"luke!" luke's cousin came running towards him as she smiled. luke opened his arm and she dropped everything and jumped into his arms. she wrapped her legs around him and dug her face into his jacket. "i missed you so much, luke."
"i missed you too, em." luke made a weird face when he felt a peculiar bump up against his stomach. he let go of his cousin and found out that she was pregnant.
"luke, meet tori." she held her bump and luke smiled at her.
"no way, em! why didn't you tell me?"
"i wanted it to be a surprise."
"how far along?"
"about 5 months." he put a hand her bump and smiled.
"i'm so happy for you." he hugged her and she put an arm around her cousin. when they separated, luke took her bags from her hands and into his.
they walked back to his car in silence. when emily didn't see luke's mum in his car, that's when she broke the silence.
"luke. where's your mum?" she asked as luke opened the backseat door for her.
"i'll explain later." she got in the backseat and was greeted by rose.
"emmy!"
"rose!" she hugged the toddler and smiled.
"why is your tummy so big?" rose asked, poking her stomach.
"she has a baby in there, princess."
"oh. is it a boy or a girl?" rose wondered.
"it's a girl. her name is tori." emily rubbed her stomach.
"that's a pretty name." rose complimented.
"um, emily, this is michael. michael, this is my cousin, emily."
"hi." michael awkwardly waved.
"hey." emily smiled.
"i'm expecting a hug from you too when we get out." michael and emily giggled and agreed.
luke sensed that michael was nervous and that his anxiety was getting higher and grabbed his hand. his tense body sunk into his seat when his boyfriend's fingertips touched his.
"next destination: my house!"
-
"now, luke, how many times have i told not to take a tray out of the oven without an oven mitt?" michael scolded his boyfriend.
"twice." luke looked down at his hand running under the cold water in shame.
"how many times should i tell you?" michael questioned.
"zero, mother." luke answered.
"if anything, i'm your daddy," michael winked.
"god damn." michael kissed his lips and smirked.
"do you need a ride home?" luke asked michael.
"yes," michael sighed. luke turned off the facet and went to get a band aid to put over the burn spot, leaving michael alone.
"mikey!" rose screamed out of nowhere.
"hey rose." he crouched down to her height. she put her arms around his neck and hugged him. confused, he hugged her back.
"what was that for?" he asked when they were down hugging,
"it just looked like you need one. and you give really good hugs." she whispered the last part.
"thank you," michael whispered that giggled.
"michael, you ready to go?" luke asked, approaching from the bathroom with a cloth bandage around his hand.
"let me go get my stuff." michael left rose and pecked luke's lips before running upstairs.
"why does mikey have to leave?" rose asked.
"he is just going home, princess. he's not going bye bye forever. i promise."
"ok." she smiled at him. she went upstairs to go find emily.
michael came down with his phone, his charger, and one of luke's sweatshirts. luke saw the sweatshirt and all michael did was smile at him.
"man, you are so cute." luke cupped michael's face in his hands. he slowly put his lips onto michael's. when their lips touched, it felt like nothing else mattered.
"luke..." michael moaned as luke moved away from his lips and onto his jaw and his neck. michael closed his eyes as luke grazed his neck with his lips. he put kisses everywhere on his face, making sure to not miss a spot.
luke grabbed the boy's waist and brought him closer. but before it could get any deeper, luke was interrupted by his phone ringing. he groaned, not wanting to answer it but it kinda had to.
"what do you want, calum?" luke snapped into the phone.
"geez. i just wanted to say that i'm boarding soon and it should be a fourteen hour flight. i'll call you when i land."
"oh okay. sorry."
"don't worry about it. see you soon."
"bye calum." the phone call ended and luke put his phone back in his pocket.
"let's get you home." luke intertwined his fingers with michael's as they walked out the door.
