"michaelllllll," luke whined while laying next to michael on the couch.

"what, babe?" michael asked, keeping his attention to the movie that was playing.

"do you know where mary and sam could be?" luke asked, looking up at him.

"i dunno. you wanna call them?" he asked, pausing the movie. luke nodded, got his phone out of his pocket and called mary.

"hello?"

"hey. when are you guys gonna be here?" luke questioned.

"i got my car taken away so were walking."

"dude, why didn't you tell me!? where are you guys?"

"don't worry about it. we are about a few blocks away."

"what's the street name?"

"i-it's jaden street but-" luke ended the phone call and jumped off the couch.

"come on, mary and sam need a ride." michael got off the couch with no questions asked. they ran out to the car, got in, and drove off.

"where are they?"

"they are over by your old house."

"oh." luke drove down the street and saw two kids, walking down the street. he pulled over and rolled down his window.

"get in."

"luke, i said we were fine."

"and i said, get in. it's 90 degrees out and you're wearing all black, get in the fucking car." mary rolled her eyes and climbed in the back and sam followed. michael waved to them.

"so what are we going to do?" sam asked. michael grabbed luke's hand out of habit.

"we were just gonna chill. we have movies and video games. y'know just have a good time."

"i'm down." sam smiled.

"good." luke pulled into the driveway and michael let go of his hand, his touch still lingering. they walked up to the house. when luke opened the door, he saw two little girls, with stuffed animals in one hand and a lollipops in the other with emma sitting on the couch smiling at them.

"i tried calling, but you didn't pick up. i can take them if you want."

"no, no. it's fine. come here, princess." luke knelled down and grabbed her. he held close, not wanting to let go.

"hey pookie," rose whispered in his ear, but loud enough for everyone to hear her.

"what?" he whispered back, smiling.

"tell mikey he looks cute today." luke looked up at michael and he smiled.

"i think he knows," luke whispered and giggled. he picked her up off the ground and put her on his side. he watched as katie practically ran into michael's arms. he attacked her with kisses and she giggled.

"what do you and katie want to do?" luke asked the four year old.

"i wanna play dolls!" katie yelled.

"i do too!" rose yelled.

"i'll let you guys play." luke put her down and her little legs ran her up the stairs. michael let katie go and she followed.

"how about you guys go in the kitchen and i'll talk to emma, yeah?" luke suggested. they all nodded. michael gave luke a kiss on the cheek before going into the kitchen with everyone else.

"thank you so so so much for taking them for the night."

"luke, it's my job. it really was no problem. i just had to keep them out of the house, and i succeeded."
