John runs and grabs a the phone from the living room frantically dialling 911. His hands are shaking wildly and he almost drops the phone in the process. Mom is kneeling over Cora bawling her eyes out. Everything seems to slow down making the clock on the wall bigger than it actually is.

She rocks her in her arms carassing her head. I'm holding Cora's hand telling myself over and over that she will be okay. So much blood is lost and is now there is a huge stain on Cora's bedroom carpet. Her eyes are rolled black showing the whites of her eyes but there is no iris or pupil. Please Cora, please stay with us, I thought.

"My fiance's daughter just had a seizure and we need an ambulance right away!" John pauses and then adds, "We live at 34 Elm Street, the Riddle House."

I hear a sharp intake of breath at the other end of the line at John mentioning the name of our house. John hangs up the phone with a grave face. He curses under his breath. Mom looks up at him confused at his reaction.

"John, what is it?" Mom asks with worry.

"Nothing, they will be here any minute." John answers.

Sirens are blaring outside of our house making me jump. "See, they're here!" John says. He beckons me to come with him and I follow. In a rush, he opens the door and in came three paramedics. One of them carts in a gurney with a blanket over it. He had blonde hair and green eyes. The other two are carrying emergency kits.

One is a woman in a pretty shade of red hair and a man with brown hair. They all seem to be in their late twenties. John guides them up the stairs and tells me to stay down here. I didn't want to but I see that I really don't have a choice in that matter. I shut the door, pacing back and forth.

After what seemed like two minutes the pretty woman in red hair is carrying Cora down the stairs. I wait at the bottom of the stairs impatiently. She gently sets her down on the gurney covering her up with a blanket. The other two men follow closely behind and tells my parents that she'll be okay. I really hope so. We all file out of the house and climb into the ambulance.

The sirens blares loudly the whole way to the hospital. I almost fall asleep unexpectedly. My strength seems to dwindle lately causing me to have strange and unwanted fatigue. We arrive at the local hospital and the two men open the back of the ambulance. They roll out the gurney and rush towards the Emergency Room with us following closely behind like magnets.

The man with blonde hair speaks up and says, "She needs to have an MRI right away."

"Yes, uhm thank you Mr....." Mom says.

"Mr. Grant here and my friend Mr. Conell."

Mom, John and I nod our heads at them in greeting. I see John holding Cora's hand tightly which sends a sigh through me. My dad used to do that to me whenever I felt ill. I snap the thought away focusing on Cora. We come to the MRI room and we are asked to wait in the other room where the computer monitors are. Mr. Conell picks Cora up and sets her on the MRI bed. He whispers something to her ear. Though I doubt it that she can hear anything right now. She looks so cold and so pale.

Mr. Conell comes to join us in the computer room and tell the tech's to turn on the MRI. A whirring sound erupts from inside signalling the start of the MRI. The monitor pops up with an image of her brain. Everything seems fine, no tumors, no damages are visible on the brain. John and mom breathe a sigh of relief. But then the lights start to flicker madly just like it did in the attic. Now I'm really confused.

"Oh, must be a power burnout." Mr. Grant explains.

"This is normal because of the hot weather," Mr. Conell adds.

The lights continue to flicker wildly and I look towards both of the paramedics. They seem confused as I am about this. One of the technicians lets out a rambunctious gasp. I look to see what the commotion is about. Mom has one hand over her mouth in horror staring at the monitor. The picture shows a man's face with pitch black eyes, no whites. All the machines are now haywire going off ferally. Seeing the image chills me to the core. I look through the glass window and see that Cora is in a sitting position. Her eyes are closed and her lips are slightly moving.

"Mom," I whisper.

She turns her head towards my viewpoint and yells, "CORA!"

My sister's eyes are now open but they are all black. Blood starts to trickle out of her eyes in the form of tears. This is all Deja Vu all over again, I thought. She gets off the bed and walks toward us but from the other side of the window.

Cora stands there for a minute grinning an evil smile sending goosebumps all over my body. One minute she's standing there, the next she's pounding her head on the window. I start to cry in fear, what is happening? This can't be happening! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! I'm having a nightmare, I'm sure of it. I pinch myself but I feel the pain and my heart sinks to the floor.

"Cora stop!" John yells out to her.

"Someone! Please help her!" Mom screams.

Everyone is shocked and petrified but Mr. Grant brakes out of it and grabs an emergency kit from the back room. He takes out a needle and hides it in his sleeve.

"What is that?" I whisper.

"Sedation." He answers.

Mr. Grant slowly walks into the MRI room beckoning Cora to come over. She is still hitting her forehead against the window in sync.

"Cora honey, please stop. You're scaring everyone." he says.

She stops hitting her head and turns to look at Mr. Grant. In this moment I feel fear rise in me for Grant.
