I've never felt more alive in years. This wasn't so difficult. In fact it was too easy for me to play with her mind. Now her body is mine. And no one will ever know. The detective kicks the door down pointing a gun towards me. I hold my hands up making myself look vulnerable.

"I didn't do anything!" I plead using her voice as a mask.

The detective narrows his eyes at me and tries to see through me. I stare right back with cold eyes. Using my power to drain the soul out of his body. He gasps, clutching his throat as if someone is suffocating him.

The gun he held drops to the floor with a loud clack melting into a pile of blood. The detective stares at me with widened eyes. Fear is laced through him, I can feel the energy. I feed on his fear growing stronger every minute.

With the final drain of his energy, I use the power to snap his neck. I grin at the sight before me. Inside Beth is trying to resist my influence. But with all the energy I drained, it makes it almost impossible to resist. I have to get back to the house. Back up to the attic where I really belong. Get out of my head! I cringe at the sound of Beth screaming inside my head.

Your body is mine now darling.

You will never get away with this. I will find a way to resist this and destroy your demonic presence.

Haha, not a chance hun. I'll kill more people too.

No you're not!

I feel her body's soul reaching out, trying to escape. Before she could escape, I suck her soul back into her body. She cries for help but no one hears her. Eventually I make my way back to the house. As soon as I step through I feel a sharp pain in my heart causing me to gasp rambunctiously.

"What is this sorcery?" I ask clutching my chest. By now Beth has found a way to resist me. She pushes with all her strength and sends my soul flying out of her body. No!

I manage to resist Karl's influence using my anger and the last of my strength. He took my mother, my sister and Jason! Even I'm starting to miss John a little bit. I'm all alone and I have nobody now. But I sure wasn't going to let Karl control my body.

At first I'm confused to what happened. As soon as we walk through the door of my house, Karl started to panic. That's when I saw my chance to break the hold he had on me. But then I remember, the exorcist placed some kind of holy blessing. A small memory replays in my head.

I remember him saying that it would take a while for the blessing to kick in and work. We were all skeptical about the whole situation with exorcist Francis. I guess the blessing did work after all.

I'm walking up the stairs and I almost feel a sense of calm. Something else is in the air that I haven't noticed before. A sense of warmth radiating overpowering the chills. I continue to walk until I reach the attic door.

Taking a deep breath, I open the door and make my way up. When I reach the top, I fumble in the darkness for the hanging light switch. On the walls where newspaper articles with blood splattered over them. For once, I feel nothing. No fear, no chill. Slowly I walk over to read the newspaper articles on the walls. One of them dated back to 1954.

Young Girl Murdered by Family

We are heartbroken to hear the loss of Bethany Wilson. Age 15. She was athletic and enthused with helping others around her community. Bethany was known for her academic excellences and athletic abilities in various vigorous sports. Witnesses said they heard a scream at around 3am and went to check on the Wilsons. "Her mother seemed on edge and intent on getting rid of me," their neighbour testified.

Later on the family disappeared without a word. Police investigated the house and found young Bethany Wilson in the attic. A fallen stool was found lying broken on the floor. Above was Bethany Wilson hung by her neck on the ceiling. Warning: Graphic Images Below.

I look away and feel an icy chill slither inside my stomach. That girl, she's me. No, it can't be. Someone who looks like me?

"Oh Bethany honey..." A familiar voice coaxes sickenly. I feel my stomach twist uncontrollably. I back up to the wall shaking violently while squeezing my eyes. The footsteps get closer and closer my heartbeat quickening a mile a minute. A small breath escapes someone in front of me. Someone lifts up my chin and tells me to open my eyes. Before me was my mother.

"Mom?"

Before I could even process the situation, she has me in a chokehold by my neck. I struggle against her grip. She only grabs on to my neck tighter squeezing my airway. I'm now desperately gasping for breath. My mom grabs a piece of rope nearby and begins to tie a loop on the ceiling. I try to run but she grabs my wrist and tightens her grip. Slowly she loops the other end around my neck tightening it so I couldn't breathe.

"Mom please don't do this," I cry. She ignores me and grabs a stool lifting me up on to it. I'm shaking my head at her. "No, please!" I start choking.

"Goodbye Bethany."

She pulls the stool.
