The Letter

The rest of the funeral was a blur. It was full of overwhelming rounds of emotions. They buried Charmaine and I realized, she's really dead. I thought it was a prank but no. She's dead. She left Earth, she's no longer here.

I clutched onto the letter Mrs. Alphelion gave to me. It was in an envelope. The envelope was wrinkled. When I arrived back to my room, I ripped the envelope open and read the letter.

Dear Estella,

I maybe gone when you received this letter and I am terribly sorry that I had to leave you. I couldn't take this world anymore. I am a disgrace to my family; I am not perfect and I am the worst person that is born in this world. I am sorry, I can't take it anymore. I am sorry I had to leave you alone, I am sorry Estella. I really am but I am leaving this world for good. You are better off without me. Lastly, you are an amazing friend that have always been there for me, I love you. See you soon.

I understand why she's leaving now. She has been so mentally hurt, no one was there for her until she decided to leave for good. I blame this on her parents, it's their fault, their fault for putting too much pressure on her. It's their fault and it's my fault for not doing anything about the diary. She's dead, she's off and I am all by myself. There's no one to spend time with, no one to help me when I struggle, I have no friends and my best friend is gone and never back.

From this day onwards, I'll be alone. I'll be sitting by myself in class, I'll be on the bus by myself, I'll be by myself, I lost a companion, a partner in crime, a best friend and the world lost the most charming person, Charmaine Aldric Rowena Elizabeth Alphelion.
