6. A Date?

It took me a while to remember where I was. Sleep does that to you sometimes, you forget where you are and start to panic. My eyes flutter to the used pillow and empty comforter beside me. The memories of last night start pouring in, unconsciously smiling as I thought about Lisa.

I'm not really taking advantage of my situation, am I?  I thought to myself as the logistics of my situation didn't really make much sense. Shrugging the thought off, I went off to find Lisa.

Checking the bathroom, she isn't there. I feel panic and worry starts to rise in my chest. I grabbed my phone and dialed her number, she didn't pick up.

I was just about to call Miyeon when the opening of the door breaks my trance. "Rosie? Are you up yet?" Lisa's sweet voice called out.

"Y-yeah, I was wondering where you were," I replied, relief washing over me.

"I just went to pick up some coffee," She said as she handed me mine, planting a kiss on my cheek. "Caramel syrup and creamer right?"

I nodded and smiled, feeling heat going up my face, "Thanks"

Lisa stared at me without saying a word as if she is deep in thought.

"What?" I ask, taking a sip of the coffee

She gestures towards the air around her, "I don't know, you've...changed? You're getting embarrassed so easily now."

I gulped hard, scared she might have somehow found out.

"It's probably nothing, the nerves for the concert must be playing with our heads," She says as she chuckles to herself.

I tried to laugh, but I was too late, the laugh landing flat, "Anyways, we should get ready shouldn't we?"

"Yeah, we should," Lisa replied absentmindedly as she went to her suitcase

"Well...I'm gonna...go wash up," I told her, uncomfortable with the awkwardness in the air.

When we got downstairs, Jisoo and Jennie were already down, "Jeez, you guys took long enough," Jennie remarked

"Good morning to you too," I hear Lisa say to her. "Did you save any food for me?"

"Miyeon probably got sandwiched for you both, we gotta get going."

Jisoo glances up from her phone, shooting us both an apologetic smile, and looks towards someone behind me. I turned, it was Miyeon and she was not happy.

"You're late, we're gonna be late for soundcheck and rehearsal, come on," She said, shoving sandwiches into my and Lisa's arms.

When we arrived at the stadium, I couldn't help but gawk at the size of it. In my old life, I've never been to a concert before. Heck, I couldn't even afford another album. I pay close attention as the girls and the band go over the songs we are covering.

Luckily, the songs and the lyrics were still the same. As a broke blink, I've managed to fill my time by singing and dancing to their 50-something songs.

Sound-check went surprisingly smoothly. There were some fans who were there and I felt myself being drawn towards them, considering how I was one of them once, looking in from the outside.

---

Running under the stage, I hear the staff guiding us to our positions. I adjust my outfit and take a deep breath. This is gonna be a long con, I think to myself as the elevator starts rising.

I follow what I've seen in those concert fan-cams and put on a fierce and bad-ass attitude, charisma filling the atmosphere.

I feel my heart tug at the sound of the thousands of fans screaming our names. "Maybe I was born for this," I tell myself under my breath.
