"You're saying that...You killed Mari...?" Kel was the first to respond. "Sunny... If this is a joke, it's not funny..."

"Right. That's messed up. If even Kel isn't laughing, you know it's not a good joke...why would you say something like this?" Aubrey protested, her voice faltering.

Sunny shook his head, staring at the floor. "I..." He gulped, not knowing how to continue. His eyes were already overflowing with tears from having to recount it all to a room full of the friends he'd kept the truth from for four years. "I...I didn't mean to...I should never have  argued with her." He choked back more sobs.

"I...You hid this from us for four years?! So that's why you abandoned me! I...I can't fucking be around you right now." Aubrey started to storm out of the hospital room, refraining from killing Sunny right then and there.

"Aubrey!" Kel shouted, stumbling after her, serious for once and teary eyed. "We swore...We swore we wouldn't leave eachother behind again, damn it! Sunny needs us right now... We need each other. It wasn't his fault!"

"Fuck off, Kel! You just don't understand!" Aubrey turned around and pushed Kel backwards, causing him almost to fall over.

"What the hell, Aubrey?! Then don't complain about US abandoning YOU this time!" Kel shouted in return, as Aubrey continued to leave.

"Let her go." Hero said, now sitting on the floor with his face hidden in his hands. "She needs to deal with things differently than you do."

Kel backed up a bit, bumping into the bed of an unconscious Basil. He turned to Sunny.

"Sunny...It wasn't your fault...It might take some time, but I know I can forgive you. But Basil...It won't be so easy." He rested a hand on Sunny's shoulder, a sympathetic but betrayed expression present on his face. He then proceeded to leave the room.

Hero sat in silence for a while, his head between his knees. Eventually, he got up, though Sunny couldn't really see his expression.

"Like Kel said, it'll take time, Sunny, but...I don't blame you. I can't. It was brave of you to tell us the truth." He quickly approached the dark haired boy and pulled him into a firm hug. "You aren't alone. Not ever. The others will come around... eventually. I will, too." He pulled away, ruffled Sunny's hair a little, then left.

Sunny was left alone with unconcious Basil, and his thoughts. His bandages around his lost eye had grown wet from tears and sweat, as he'd broken down while telling the others.

Basil began to stir from his unconscious state about an hour later, Sunny still by his side.

Sunny wanted to apologize to Basil for everything, suggest that they got help, and more, but... overbearing the guilty feeling was a rush of relief. Basil was okay, he was breathing, his eyes open wide to once again reveal the bluest of skies within, for the first time since when they fought.
All Sunny could do was smile at the blonde boy.
Basil smiled back.

After a quick catch up (and about a billion apologies from both sides), Sunny and Basil were doing reasonably okay. Obviously, there were a lot more fences to mend, but they could work through it together now. No more secrets.

"I'm sorry." Sunny said once again, though it was completely unnecessary at this point.

"Sunny, you have nothing to apologize for. We're completely even, okay? Well - if anything, I owe you an eye -" He paused with a chuckle. "- but the important thing is that you had the courage to fight the anxiety and come clean, something I could never do, which is why I'm sorry, I-"
