"So I'll start." Dr. Green says in giddy excitement. "You're going to introduce yourself, name and major, and if you had a warning label what would it say?"
There were a few chuckles and groans around the room. There's only 16 of us in this room. So this shouldn't take too long and at least it was somewhat interesting.
"Right, so as I said before I'm Dr. Sean Green. No major, but I am a general physician." We started with a cheeky smile. "If I had a warning sign it would say ' Caution: Hot.'"
A few of the girls in class laughed at his joke and you could see the longing in their eyes. Don't get me wrong, Sean Green was very attractive with his light green eyes, heart shaped face, golden tan, and a mop of blonde curls. He didn't look a day over 22, definitely not old enough to be a doctor. Even a few of the guys looked like they have stars in their eyes.
After the class quiets down, he speaks again. "Does anyone want to volunteer to go first?" No one peeps as everyone glances around at each other and shifts in their chairs awkwardly. "No? Okay, I'll call on you randomly." He points to a guy in the front row near the entrance.
"Uh, the name is Kenny. I'm a Sports Management Major and my warning label would be, um, Warning: I do dumb things."
A few students chuckled and Sean continued calling out students if no one volunteered to go next. There were a couple funny labels and as the number of students who went increased, I desperately am trying to figure out what I'm going to say.
"My name is Jade, I'm a cosmetology major and my warning label would be, Beware; she bites." She sends a wink to Sean who's smile never falters but does look a little strained.
He nods to me indicating it's my turn. "Hi, I'm Sang and I'm a construction management major. My sign would be, Caution; there may be trouble ahead."
There were only a few more kids to go after me and then Sean started the usual first week syllabus nonsense. Although it is boring he keeps telling jokes to try and spice up the class. It works, the girls are in the palm of his hand and the guys are actively paying attention.
Partway through class, Kota slips into the room and finds a seat close to the door. I raise an eyebrow at him but he doesn't turn in my direction. I notice Sean giving him a concerned look but it's so fleeting I'm not sure if it meant anything. Sean continues for another 10 minutes before calling class.
"Alright, that's it for today. No homework for the week, just remember to get your textbook by next Tuesday." He sends a mischievous grin to all of us. "I'm supposed to tell you all that you are required to buy the textbook from the school store but if you go to library genesis online you can find the 3rd edition book for free in a pdf form. But I strongly suggest checking out the bookstore first." He winks.
Hmm. Good suggestion. I could have saved a fortune if I knew early on in my college career that there were websites that allowed you to download free pdfs of textbooks. Buying new books is a complete scam.
Walking out the room I feel someone bump into my shoulder.
"Watch it." A girl's voice cuts out. Twisting around, I turn to apologize when cold eyes scan up and down my body. "Don't get in my way again singsong." She sneers. Upon closer inspection I notice the girl named Jade who was undressing Sean with her eyes all class. "Greg was right, you are nothing." With that she spins on her heels and struts down the hallway, her hips swaying in her tiny jean shorts and her crop top allowing the peek of tattoos to be seen.
My mind runs trying to connect Jade to Greg, I don't remember her in any of the reports. I'll have to keep an eye out for her, she seems like the type of person that could be disastrous.
