"I didn't leave a note"

"What? There was a note with your handwriting and Marco figured it out, it was all there" Regina quickly said, her mind in a confused mess as she looked away from the blonde.

"Gina, I don't know what you're talking about. I left in the middle of the night and drove here" Emma explained, unsure whether she was misunderstanding something.

"No, your car was parked outside with your phone, keys and that note" Regina cut in, remembering reading the heartbreaking words.

"Listen to me, I didn't do any of that. I took all my stuff, drove here and willingly went with Ryan" Emma softly said, seeing the brunette was growing stressed and confused. It then finally clicked in Emma's mind, causing shock to consume her face. "He set this up, Ryan set this up. He must have drove my car there and wrote the note, the son of a bitch"

"He fucking knew I'd come after you!" Regina snapped in annoyance, feeling stupid that it took her this long to realise.

"He found a loophole"

"What loophole? In what"

"Our deal was he couldn't hurt or touch you once I'm dead... He's going to keep me alive to hurt you, maybe even kill you" Emma sighed in exhaustion, knowing she should have guessed this. Regina just frowned in shock at all this, trying to piece it all together in her mind. "Does he know you are here"

"I don't think so" Regina quickly replied, glancing over her should to check no one is there.

"Then go!" Emma quickly said, trying to turn the blonde to face the other way.

"What? No, I came to get you and I'm leaving with you" Regina sternly said, her glare alone scaring the blonde.

"The only way this all ends is with me dying, please, just go" Emma begged, her eyes showing how much pain this caused.

"Enough with the heroics, for god sake. I'm here because our son needs you alive, he is so scared right now. How do you think he'll feel if I come back and you aren't with me? You don't get to say no, you're coming" Regina demanded, all the anger from this just came bubbling up.

"Gina, I-"

"No! You don't get to argue with me, not after what you did! You came back, asked me to marry you and then left AGAIN!" Regina shouted in anger, completely cutting the blonde off.

"I know, I'm sorry. I didn't plan on leaving again, heck I didn't plan on returning... But having you in my arms, all those horrible memories of us being here just came flooding back and I got scared of it happening again, of loosing you" Emma softly explained, tears forming in her eyes but not yet leaking out.

"Yeah? Well, you have lost me and I'll be dammed if I ever give you a second chance" Regina sternly said, showing how serious and how heartbroken she was. "I'm not letting you die here, I'd never forgive myself and neither would our son. So, let's go"

Emma just looked at the brunette, seeing how broken she was. She knew that her decision that night were awful but the fear of loosing Regina was more than she could ever handle. Emma just softly shook her head, surprising the brunette even more.

"I can't, Regina. I don't even want to be alive anymore, I just want to end everything... I have been fighting this war since I was 13 years old and I'm tired, so tired. Please, just let me go" Emma begged in the most heartbreaking voice the brunette had ever heard.

"I can't, Emma, you have to come home" Regina said in a cracked voice, tears already starting to leave her eyes.

"I don't have a home!"

"Me and Marco are your home!"

"You hate me, I know you do" Emma softly said, looking down as she began welling up.

"I don't hate you... But you will not be getting another chance with me" Regina admitted in a cracked voice, knowing she can't go through it again. "That doesn't mean I wasn't your home, I still am. Come with me, our son needs us"

"Our son needs you, I'm the mess that he didn't deserve for a mother" Emma blurted out, a tear or two slipping out her eyes. "I just want to hurry up and end it now... Just leave me to die, please"

"You know I can't do that, I'd never forgive myself if I let you die here" Regina quickly said, hurrying closer to the blonde to hold her face.

"Regina, you don't have much time. Please, just go" Emma begged, trying to move the brunettes hands away.

"No, Emma no" Regina demanded, pulling the blonde closer to the door.

Emma tried to stay still but Regina kept yanking her towards the door, crying in her shoulder as she did. Emma decided to quickly leaned down and captured the set of lips in front, holding her close. Regina deepened the kiss, knowing just how much she needed it now. The pair held so much passion in their kiss, needing it to calm each other down. As they slowly pulled away, the pair just stared into each others eyes.

"I love you, I really fucking do" Emma whispered, brushing some brunette hair behind her ear.

"I love you more" Regina whispered back, clinging to the blondes ripped top.

"Please, go before it's too late" Emma begged desperately, trying to look away but unable to break the eye contact.

"You know I can't go without you. We're ride or die remember, us until the end" Regina quickly said, her vision becoming blurry due to her tears.

"Gina-"

"If we go down, we go down together"

"Oh, how romantic" Ryan sarcastically said from the doorway, catching both woman's attention. They spun round to see him; the man just leaned against the doorframe in disgust. "I'm afraid it's too late for either if you to leave. You had your chance, sucks to be you"

"Ryan, you promised you wouldn't hurt her" Emma sternly said, holding the brunette woman close to protect her.

"I promised I wouldn't hurt her once your dead and, correct me if I'm wrong, but you're very much alive" Ryan replied with a smirk, knowing he manipulated all of this.

"How did you manage to forge her handwriting and know to do the codes" Regina quickly asked, using the blondes grip go keep her calm.

"Because I've seen all the fake code notes she made with Margot over the last few years, you left them in all the different places you've lived and I just so happened to find them" Ryan replied, laughing as he began leaving the room.

"Ryan, stop!" Emma quickly called out, stepping closer to the door. Ryan raised an eyebrow at her, holding the door ready to close. "Please, just let her go, this is between us"

"No can do. See you both in a few hours" Ryan smirked, slamming the door shut as he finished.
