7 years later
"Oh my god! Regina proposed?" Bella excitedly asked, sitting up do quickly in her bed.
"What did Emma say" Emmett added, copying his twin sisters action.
"I think that's enough of the story today, we don't want to run out" Emma said with a chuckle, standing up from the chair between the bed.
"No, mum, you can't leave it there" Emmett quickly said, reaching to stop his mother.
"You both need to get some sleep, it's late. I will continue the story tomorrow" Emma said, laughing to herself as she move to her daughter's bed.
"Can you just tell us if she said yes or no?" Bella begged, laying down to let her mother tuck her in.
"I can't spoilt the story when we are only half way through" Emma replied with a smirk, loving how easy they are to tease. She kissed the young girl on the head and gave her a smile, brushing her hair out the way. "Good night, Bella"
"Good night, mummy"
"And good night to you, Emmy" Emma said, moving over to tuck her son in. She kissed his head as well and ruffled his hair, standing up in the process. She headed over to the door and took a final look round, seeing both her children watching her leave. "Sleep well, you two"
"Mummy" Emmett quickly said, lifting his body up a little more. Emma raised an eyebrow and hummed, prompting the boy to speak. "Please, just tell us"
"Okay, she-" Emma started, being cut off by a woman shouting.
"Emma!"
"I'll be there in a minute, Regina"
At the sound of their names, both Bella and Emmett looked at each other. A smile grew widely across their faces, prompting them to sit up. Emma chuckled and smiled, aware they have finally figured it out.
"It's you and mama!" Bella and Emmett said excitedly, switching between themselves and their mother.
"Yes, it is. Good night, you two" Emma said with a small giggle, slowly closing the door behind her.
She turned around and headed towards the stairs, making her way down. They now live in a three bedroom house and still work together at the bar, running it as a family business. Emma walked towards the kitchen, seeing the group she left laughing and drinking their wine. It was made up of Regina, Marco, Ben, Rita and Carlos (her husband). The brunette woman looked up and smiled brightly, holding her arms open to the woman.
"There's my beautiful wife" Regina happily said, revealing just how much wine she'd drunk. Emma chuckled as she walked over, entering the woman's embrace. "You were up there awhile, how far did you get in the story"
"To the moment you asked me to marry you" Emma replied, taking a sip of her own wine.
"Best moment of my life" Regina happily said, tightening her arms around the blondes waist.
"Mine too" Emma added, leaning down to kiss the brunette woman. As their lips joined, Regina pulled her wife closer and held her tighter. Emma pulled away but Regina moved in again, pecking her lips a few times. "They figured out it's our story"
"It's about time, I thought they never would. I guess it's lucky you kept it PG" Regina replied with a chuckle, letting go of the blonde to drink her wine.
"No one likes it PG" Rita said, laughing as she hugged the blonde woman from behind.
"I like it a little PG when it's my mothers" Marco quickly said, using his fiance to hold him up.
"I think it's time we get you home, honey" Ben said with a laugh, helping to lift the man off his shoulder.
"Okay, let's go and rock your brains out" Marco said with a smirk, his words beginning to slur.
"Here, we should get going too so you can catch a ride with us" Carlos said, being the only sober one to drive.
"Alright, I will see you all at work Tuesday" Regina said with a wide smile, hugging her sister goodbye.
"Except us, we have the day off for our picnic hike" Marco excitedly said, looking up at Ben with a smile.
"Oh, yes, have fun with that, kid" Emma replied, pulling her son into a hug.
"I will" Marco beamed, moving away to hug his other mother. As he held Regina, both squeezed and smiled at each other. "Happy anniversary, mum"
"Thank you, sweet heart" Regina said with a big smile, pulling away to see the man.
"I'm very proud of you, you know that right" Marco questioned, looking lovingly at his mother.
"You are? Why" Regina giggled, unsure where her son was going with that.
"Because you have come so far. When I first met you, I thought you were a hooker, remember?" Marco replied, giving a chuckle at the memory.
"Oh my god, yes. I made some comment to a guy and you asked your mum if I was a hooker" Regina added, laughing along with the boy.
"And now look at you" Marco commented, gesturing to his mother.
"I'm proud of you too, sweetie. I love you so much" Regina said with a huge smile, hugging her son once again.
"I love you too, mum" Marco chuckled, giving her a squeeze before pulling away.
Regina and Emma showed the group out and waved them goodbye. Regina closed the door and leaned against it, sighing in exhaustion. Emma just giggled as she held her hand out, waiting for it to be taken.
"Come on" The blonde encouraged, gesturing for the woman to follow her.
Regina smiled as she took her hand, let Emma lead the way. They went into the kitchen before their hands parted, allowing Emma to go to the speaker. She played an old love song. Not just any old love song, the one they fell in love to; it song the danced to in the motel. Regina smiled brightly at the sound, bitting her lip at it.
"Come dance with your wife, Mrs Swan-Mills" Regina happily said, holding both arms out for the woman.
Emma smirked as she walked over, joining their bodies together. The pair swayed to the song in a perfect rhythm. All the memories of them together were playing in a slide show in each of their minds, from the snarky comments to the exciting nights in bed.
"Happy anniversary, baby" Emma whispered, kissing the brunettes cheek.
"Mmm, happy anniversary, my darling. Best five years of my life" Regina quietly replied, smiling from ear to ear.
"Mine too. I couldn't have asked for a better wife"
"You don't get better than the best"
Emma laughed as she moved her head back, locking eyes with the brunettes. The pair smiled as she leaned in, connecting their lips. It slowly began to deepen as they moved closer, clinging to each other tightly. Emma pressed Regina up against the wall, her hand traveling down the woman's body. Regina flipped them and pinned Emma, holding her hands above her head.
"Let's go upstairs" Emma said between kisses, wanting to hold the other woman.
Regina smirked, pulled away and grabbed the blondes top. She pulled her out the room and towards the stairs, allowing them both to run up as if they are teenagers. At the top of the stairs, Regina pulled Emma close and began kissing her deeply, filling it with passion and love. When she broke the kiss, she tugged on Emma's bottom lip and smirked.
"I love you so much" Regina seductively whispered, keeping her face close go the woman's.
"I love you more"
