February 16th 2007
St Petersburg, Russia

"Julya, welcome back." Madame B greets, as I got off my jet and onto the flying base.

"We can skip the pleasantries, Madame." I say coldly, "Why was I pulled out early?"

"He wants to see you."

"Dreykov." she just nods and I sharply turn on my heel, heading straight for his office, one that I've grown all too familiar with.

As I approach the doors, the numerous security guards step aside to let me in. Inside the office, Dreykov stands talking to another man, who I remember meeting during my time at the academy.

"General, Madame B told me you wished to speak with me." I say, making my presence known.

Both men look up, "Ahh, yes, Julya." Dreykov greets.

"Julya, I remember you." the man says, "I haven't seen you since you were a child, though."

"Mr. Pierce, is it?"

"Yes. A pleasure to see you again." he holds out a hand for me to shake, which I take.

"Likewise." I smile politely.

"Now, why you're here." Pierce starts, "Me and my colleagues at Hydra were extremely impressed with your work in California. Nikolay spoke very highly of you and how much help you were." as the name leaves his mouth, my breathing stops for a moment. I haven't heard that name in years, I haven't wanted to. We didn't exactly say goodbye on good terms and enduring years of torture didn't help particularly soothe my anger. "One of our assets at Hydra has been... stepping out of line lately, so to speak, and we think a partner in the field might knock him into line." he explains calmly. "Would you be interested in coming and working for Hydra?" he asks, as if I'm being given the choice.

"Yes, of course." I say, "If that's fine with Dreykov."

"We've already discussed everything and he's fine with it. For the foreseeable future, you'll no longer be a Widow, you'll be Hydra."
