TK joins firehouse 51

Chapter 3

Chapter 3: TK's first day at 51

The next morning TK gets up, gets dressed, says goodbye to Carlos, and then heads to his new firehouse, firehouse 51. Once he gets there he go's inside and see that the back of the ambulance is open. He walks up and sees a paramedic with short straight blonde hair and blue eyes digging around for something.

"Um hi." Says TK.

"Oh hi." Says the paramedic giving him a smile.

"I'm the new paramedic." Says TK.

"Oh" She says looking up at TK.

"I'm Sylvie Brett your paramedic in charge." Says Sylvie

"I'm Tyler Kennedy Strand but you can call me TK." He says giving her a smile back.

"Ok." She says.

"Can you show me to Chief Boden's office?" Asks TK.

"Sure right this way." Says Sylvie.

Sylvie takes TK to Chief Boden's office and then heads back to the ambo. Once TK checks in with Chief Boden he finds the locker room and then heads to conference room for the morning meeting. At the morning meeting Chief Boden tells everyone about TK.

"Everyone this is the new paramedic on ambulance 61 Tyler Kennedy Strand but you can call him TK. Announces Chief Boden.

"Hi." Says TK and he waves at his new crew so they know who he is.

"TK everyone will introduce themselves later but the main you need to know about now are your PIC who've you've already met Sylvie Brett, Lieutenant Kelly Severide, Lieutenant Herrmann, and Captain Matthew Casey." Says Chief Boden.

Chief Boden dismisses the meeting and then Sylvie helps TK introduce himself to everyone including Lieutenant Severide and Captain Casey. She also introduces TK to Stella Kidd her best friend who firefighter and works under Captain Casey on truck 81. After that they go eat breakfast in the common room where everyone asks TK questions about where he came from, and if he's single or married and he tells them about how is originally from New York, How he was an addict, then about how him and his father moved to Austin, how he ended up in Chicago, and about his husband Carlos. Most of the crew was very surprised that he was gay but they still liked him. Then as the rest of the day went on TK asked the crew some questions and they talked a lot with some interruptions of calls but TK had a very good first day.

At the end of the day TK asked the crew where they all liked to hang out so they told him about Molly's the bar that Lieutenant Herrmann owns. They also told them that cops like to hang out there too so Carlos should fell comfortable too. After that TK went home and told Carlos about Molly's so they went to Molly's and TK introduced Carlos to his new crew and they all hung out at Molly's for the rest of the night. That was the end of TK's first day at firehouse 51.
