Chapter 8: Unexpected Call
The next day TK wakes up to his cell phone ringing. It's his dad. He picks it up and answers it.
"Hey dad I thought you were working today." He says.
"Well there hasn't been any calls yet today so I thought I would check." Says his dad
"Well I'm actually glad you called." Says TK.
They talk for a few minutes and TK tells his dad about the news he got yesterday. Then they hang up and TK gets out of bed. Then he heads downstairs and makes himself breakfast. After TK hears his cellphone ring again so he picks it up to hear his dads voice on the phone again. This time his father tells him some bad news about his mother. He tells him that she had to go to hospital. TK starts to cry and then hangs up.
He calls Brett and she calms him down. Then he go's up to the bedroom to make a plan about travelling to New York if his mother gets worse. Finally hours later Carlos comes home and him and TK talk and then they hug to get him to calm down again. Then they talk and relax in bed for the rest of the night.
