CHAPTER 20: Trial

Keigo's POV:

Eri:" You all have broken the rule of showing yourselves to human, and the power of gods."

Momo: "For this you'll have to face a trial before you're granted permission back into our realm."

Shigaraki: "Should any of you fail. Your souls won't be brought back. Instead you'll be broken down to feed the tree of life and reincarnation. Thus ending your existence and all memories of you."

Momo creates our life threads and binds us with them. Leaving any chance to escape out of our reach. Miriko, suneater, Lamilian, touya, and I ride down the river of sticks in separate boats. Out of us all, Touya's boat soon begins to sink. I try to help but the threads bind tighter.

"Touya wake up!"

Eri lands on my boat and keeps restoring the threads so I can't get to him. I begin to cry and plead for release to save him.

Eri:" this isn't really your test Keigo takami. There's really only one being tried right now."

Just then I see Shigaraki reach and decay Miriko's threads. She jumps in the water and pulls touya out.

"I'm sorry for everything I did to you both. I don't expect your forgiveness,  but even if my feelings for you aren't mutual. I'll make sure that the one you love will stay along side you forever."

She throws one last seed and it lands on Touya's stomach. Healing his injuries and giving him her permission to stay with me. Thus giving her spot away in the kingdom of gods. As Shigaraki decays her in the water. Momo cuts her last thread. Ending her existence forever. We all were free to enter, but never allowed to go back to the mortal world. As all doors were locked by the frost goddes rai todoroki. When touya awoke. Both I and rai embraced him.

"I'm sorry I couldn't be a mother to you touya, but I'm here now if you wanna try again."

He starts crying and hugs her back. As I start to walk away. Touya grabs my hand.

"M....mom this is my boyfriend keigo."

"So this is your type? I approve."

"I blushed as I felt nervous about her response at first, but when rai approved. I couldn't be more happy.

"Please ma'am, call me icarus. Keigo is my mortal name."

Touya begins to pick on me.

"Aww poor hawks, he's blushing, how adorable."

Hearing the pet name hawks made me flustered. So I had to take charge first. Pulling touya close and kissing him. He wasn't expecting it and went a bit subby by giving in. So I used my trick to keep him subby for a little while.

"Now now, we should be polite now that we have eternity to spend together babybird."

Touya's face gets readers than my wings. So rai and I begin to laugh. He doesn't like this at all. So touya throws me up in the air. With his blue flame wings, he follows after and catches me bridle style. With a deep kiss and a hand groping my ass. I whimper a light moan as we're far away from any prying eyes.

3rd person POV:

Some say till this day you can see them still  making love in the shadows of the clouds. For icarus and his Phenix still have the spark of love. Given to them from their days of living in the mortal world.
