"I need to talk to you."
"What you didn't come up here just for a friendly visit?" Darunia responded sarcastically
"Not now this is serious." Link glared at the goron chief with anger, frustration and determination.
"Are you aware of the monster Ganond-oof!" A large goron hand clapped over Link's mouth
"Not here, we can talk in my cave." Darunia turned on his heel and started treking back up to Goron city. Upon arrival several gorons crowded around Link trying to get his attention. The air was filled with grunts and moans as gorons swarmed Link.
"Whoa hey! Calm down!" Darunia tried in vane to get them to quiet down.
"I said shut up!" The chief slammed his massive hands together creating an ear-splitting bang that echoed around the massive cave.
"Thank you." Darunia informed all of them for the hero's reason being there. "Now Link's here to talk to me about some very important and secret things, ok, so back off we need to get to my cave." The gorons moved out of the way unblocking the stairs.
"Hello Link." A small high-pitched voice came from just below Link. He looked down to see Darunia's son Link looking up at him. The green-clad hero crouched down to the small gorons level. He lifted his hand to give the goron a high-five but the small rock eater wrapped his arms around the kokiri in a tight hug. Link lightly placed his hands on the small ones shoulders then stood up. Glancing at the stairs he turned to look at Darunia.
"Forget stairs!" Then dove off the edge down to the bottom level. Several gorons ran to the edge just in time to see Link preform a well timed roll on the ground and stand up just fine. They all stared in awe at the hero that stood at the bottom looking up at them. Darunia grinned then rolled up and came down the stairs causing a low rumbling to sound. He quickly arrived and they started towards the chief's cave.
"Wait a second." Link jogged over to the goron shop and purchased a red potion leaving the ruppees on the counter. He walked out just as he was finishing the potion and wipped his mouth on his tunic's sleeve. Darunia returned to his cave with Link on his tail. As they entered Darunia grabbed one of the tables at the side of his abode and placed it in the middle of the cave. Link grabbed a nearby large rock and pulled it up to the table while Darunia took a seat at his throne.
"Now what's this about Ganondorf making an entity?"
"You don't know! You were there!" Link was astonished that the sage of fire was unaware of what had arose.
"Doesn't matter let me explain." Link recounted everything that Zelda had told him.
"An entity that could, in time free Ganon, that's not good." Darunia pondered over the story. Suddenly becoming quite cheerful Darunia cleared his throat then asked "Link, you hungry?"
"Little bit." But his stomach growled revealing that he was starving. The chief grinned then let out, in a booming voice, "Oh Link, come here please!" Soon a little goron came rolling into the room.
"Yes dad?" The little goron was gazing at his father with a questioning look.
"Could you fetch our friend and me some food?" He beckoned his son closer then whispered something Link couldn't make out. The small rock-eater's eyes brightened.
"Of course!" He rolled out towards the goron kitchen. Link watched him go with a smile on his face.
"Anyway, do you know anything about this entity?" Darunia leaned on the table, preparing for the worst.
"Not much, I know that it is A. Human B. Out to get me and C. Dark looking."
"Ok ok" the goron had a some what satisfied look on his face. Small foot steps came from the tunnel and the child goron entered carrying a tray with two plates and two cups on it. He put one plate in front of Link which held a leg of meat and some crackers and placed one of the cups in front of him. The goron trotted over to his father and placed the other plate and cup in front of him.
"What's this?" Link pointed at the leg on his plate.
"Dodango." The child responded cheerfully.
"Hmm." Link bit into it, chewed and swallowed quickly.
"It's good." He then took a sip from his cup.
"Mmm this is good!" Link smacked his lips and took another sip.
"And this?" Link asked pointing at the cup which held a red warm liquid.
"Dodango special." Darunia responded, taking a bite out of his rock meal and a big gulp from his cup.
"What's in it." Link questioned. He took a bigger drink from his cup
"Water, orange juice, smashed berries oh and Dodango blood!" Darunia counted. Link quickly spit out his drink
"Dodango blood?!" Link started spitting on to the ground in disgust while Darunia roared in laughter.
"I thought you liked it!" He continued to chuckle wiping a tear from his eye.
"That was before I knew what was in it!" Link shivered at the thought of drinking blood.
"Anyyywayy..... let's continue shall we?" Darunia said biting a piece of rock from the bits remaining on his plate.
"Fine." Link responded suppressing another shiver and biting his roasted Dodango. The two talked for some time over the food and drink.
"Here's a question, what do you want me to do about it?" Darunia stared at the hero with a questioning look on his face after they had finished their conversation on this strange thing.
"Just keep a look out for it. If you find anything tell me as fast as you can."
"Will do." The goron nodded his head as Link stood and started to exit the room.
"Hey Link!" Darunia called to the path out.
"Yeah." The kokiri peeked his head back around the corner into the cave.
"For the road." The chief tossed a bottle across the room to Link, who quickly caught it and unscrewed the lid to peep inside.
"Really." The green-clad hero stared at the goron with a amused look in his eyes. The chief just nodded smiling. Link turned and started towards the stairs. He exited Goron City with many gorons waving and wishing him luck on his journey.
"Good bye everyone." The kokiri left the city entrance and started the long trek back down Death Mountain. About half way down he saw smoke rising from Kakariko. Link sprinted down the final bit of the trail to enter the town and saw lizalfo's running around terrorizing the people.
"Find the green one!" A deep voice boomed
"King Lizal." Link breathed still looking around at the burning town. He knew what he had to do.
"I'm right here!"
