"No!" The king shouted. "I will not allow it!"
"Father!" Zelda exclaimed
"Never!" He responded. "You will stay here where you are safe!"
"How do you know I'll be safe?" Zelda shot back. "That monster has gotten in before, I'm no safer here than if I was out there looking for that thing."
"We have guards, they can protect you." The king said
"So, I have Link, he can protect better than any guard." The Princess turned to point at Link standing a few feet behind her in the shadows, his face slightly lit up by the faint glow of his blue fairy companion drifting around his head, arms crossed watching the father and daughter bicker.
"Yes well Link is one man and can only do so much." The king huffed
"More than all you're guards combined!" Zelda argued
"Hey, leave me out of this!" Link called
"You will remain here, that is final." The king stood and began walking past Zelda towards the door of the large throne room. Once he exited Link walked up to Zelda who was glaring at the ground.
"Hey," he said "Don't worry, I'll find him even if I'm by myself." He grabbed her chin in his thumb and index finger to look into her eyes.
"I'm going with you." Zelda insisted
"Come on, Princess you heard your father he said no." Link said, meeting Zelda's intense gaze.
"I don't care, I'm going." The Hyrulian Retorted.
"Let me guess, there is no possible thing I could do to change your mind?" The green-clad hero responded.
"Nope." Zelda answered grinning slightly.
"Fine. Meet me just outside the castle gates tonight. And be discreet about it." Link gave in.
"I will." The Princess pulled The Hero of Time into a hug and whispered into his ear a small "Thank you."
Link stood outside of the raised castle gates, leaning on the gray stone and waited as the moon steadily rose into the sky.
"No creepy face on that one." He mumbled to himself, staring at the rising moon."What?" Navi asked looking at Link then the moon and back to Link again.
"Long story." Link answered not wanting to talk about his adventures in Termina with the blue fairy.
"We got time." Navi responded hovering right in front of Link's face.
At that moment they heard a quiet whoosh followed by a thud as a person landed lightly next to Link a few feet away.
"Hello Princess." He said looking at the tightly-clad figure that stepped out of the shadows to show themselves as Zelda's other self Sheik
"How'd you know it was me?" She said walking up to the waiting Hero and Fairy.
"Who else is gonna know that I'm at the gate at midnight and jump off a giant wall to reach me?" He answered with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.
"True." Sheik said "So shall,we get going?" She then asked gesturing in the direction of Castle Town and Hyrule Field.
"Well I don't know 'bout you but I'm still exhausted." Link stretched out his arms and let out an exaggerated yawn.
"Not really, no." Sheik answered
