"Zelda, no please no." Link cried, cradling the princess's head in his arms.

Suddenly there was a loud crash and rain poured from the sky. The lizard king stared at the clouds above to see a lightning blot strike the ground in front of him, striking a knight dead. From the smoldering corpse arose a blue light that morphed into a beautiful women who the king quickly recognized as the goddess of wisdom.

"Nayru." He breathed staring in disbelief at the glowing goddess levitating, staring at him.

"Leave here!" A booming voice rang throughout Kakariko village as if it didn't have a true source. The king nervously nodded at the goddess. But he quickly got back to his stern look.

"Let's go." He growled pointing at the volcano. Ten lizalfos lifted the throne onto their shoulders and started towards the mountain.

"And never return!" Nayru yelled towards them. After the reptiles disappeared from sight the goddess turn to look at Link holding Zelda's limp body. She lowered til she touched the ground and walked quickly to Link kneeling next to him.

"Let me see her." Nayru spoke with a gentle loving voice. Link nodded and gently handed Zelda to the goddess who whispered a swift chant and released the princess, but instead of falling to the ground she floated in front of Link and the goddess.

"Wha-?" Link looked at the floating royalty, astonished

"Do not be alarmed young hero." Nayru raised a hand towards him "Now watch and witness, the power of a goddess." She walked around the levitating princess until she was in front of Zelda' head and laid her hands upon her cheeks. Link stepped back and watched as Nayru mumbled a chant. After the goddess finished Zelda started glowing brighter and brighter like a star then flashed. Shielding his eyes Link could not comprehend what happened. But when the light faded Zelda stood there next to Nayru smiling.

"Zelda." Link breathed. He took a step towards her as she passed out and fell to the ground. Link dashed and caught her just before she hit the dirt.

"Now Hero I cannot do this much." Nayru spoke in a superior tone but still soft and kind.

"Of course." Link responded glancing up at the glowing goddess.

"Now go, find the monster that did this." With that she flew upwards and slowly faded away.
