"My name is Dr. James Polinarde. I'd rather be your friend if that's even possible. But it isn't going to be, is it?" The doctor said. His voice was smooth and didn't falter even when he hesitated in his words. It intimidated Viv a bit. She silently shook her head. More friends? Not what she needed at the moment. He was a tall thin man, course brown hair with streaks of grey and a lab coat over what seemed to be a suit. The doctor looked to be in his mid twenties, though his grey hairs amongst the brown said otherwise.
"Now listen closely, every question I ask you you must answer honestly. If I find out you're lying then you will be severally punished." His tone turned cold, barely any resemblance to what he sounded like before. Vivica jumped a bit at the sudden turn.
"Now tell me, do you know about a certain plan to erm, escape perhaps?" The doctor asked her. This seemed more like an interrogation to her than a simple check up.
"I do anything." Viv answered as easily as she could. No, she couldn't be a tattle tale. That would both be dishonoring and would get her killed quicker.'This guy might kill you himself, genius.' the best friends said nonchalantly.
Dr. Polinarde threw his clipboard that he had been holding to the side. He started to walk over to her till they were face to face, much closer than she wanted to be.
"I think you're lying to me. Are you, lying to me?" he said steadily and almost dead quiet.Vivica's eyes were wide with fear. This was so weird. None of her past doctors had ever acted this way. Perhaps... This one was as crazy as her?
"I'm telling you the truth. What is wrong with you?" She said, breathing heavily trying to hold in a scream. The doctor stood there without expression for a moment, till his face exploded into a full on smile. It was not reassuring for Viv at all.
"Nothing is wrong dear, nothing at all. So how has your day been?" He said in a pleasant tone.Viv was so confused. Just a second ago it seemed he was going to explode on her. Now he was all happy? Was he bipolar or something.
"There's something wrong with you." She stated with a shake of her head.Dr. Polinarde seemed to deem this as amusing because he chuckled a bit. But then his smile faded and his thin face turned harsh once again.
"No, you're the one with something wrong. You are a psychopath. Don't you know why you're in here? You don't think I know how many people you've hurt and killed. I have every file of you. I know everyone you ever met and I know what you are deep inside. A monster. And your disease? It's obviously an uncharted type, something we must pay extra attention to. Start considering yourself a lab rat, dear Vivica."As he said all this, Viv's face was turning red. He reminded her of her uncle. She hated her uncle. Before Vivica could stop herself, her hands were around Dr. Polinarde's neck. He started gasping and scratching at her hands but they were too tight for him to pull off. The doctor was able to knock down a tray of supplies as he was wrestled to the ground, losing air fast. The supplies made noise enough to be heard outside the doors and sure enough the gaurds rushed in. They pulled Viv off Dr. Polinarde who was almost unconscious. The guards started to hustle her away as nurses rushed in to help the doctor laying on the floor. Wet tears ran down Vivica's cheeks.
