May.

"Chris!" Amaris calls from her room.

"Yeah?"

"Can you come zip me?"

Chris walks into Amaris's room to find her in her Prom dress. It was a two-piece outfit. The top part was a black, long sleeved lace top, while the bottom part was a matte black that pooled down to the floor.

"Wow..." Chris exhales, "You look...amazing."

Amaris smiles, "Thank you." She turns around, "Can you get this?" She asks, referring to the top part of her dress, still needing to be zipped.

Chris walks over, trying to not be hypnotized by the freckles on her back. Amaris was so beautiful that it wasn't even fair. The two of them hadn't been too romantic with each other since they'd returned from Iceland, save for a few comments here and there, but Chris couldn't resist placing a light kiss on Amaris's shoulder when he finished zipping her.

Amaris smiles, "Thank you." She turns around, "So, listen, um...There's something I wanted to ask you."

"Of course, lovely; anything."

"Well..." She starts, "I know that you don't often partake in mortal affairs, but...it would just mean the world to me if you came to my graduation. I mean, you totally don't have to, I just, I mean, I thought that maybe, well -"

"Hey," Chris cuts her off, then kisses her forehead. Amaris's smile returns.

"That was a really nice way of telling me to shut up."

"Of course I'll come."

"Really?"

"You have my word," Chris says, "In the mean time though, you have a dance to get to. You ready?"

"As ready as I'll ever be."

"Try to have fun! Isn't Prom something that most mortal girls really look forward to?"

"Well, I'm not most mortal girls. Now, if there were something like this happening in the demon realm, I'd be ecstatic."

"Hmm. I'll have to keep that in mind."

"I don't know, I like hanging out with my friends; the cheesy high school stuff just isn't for me," Amaris explains later that night, having changed into sweats, "You've spoiled me with all of the elaborate demon shit," She jokes

"We do have a flair for the dramatics," Chris jokes in return, "Well, you said if there were any sort of event in the demon realm, you'd be excited to go, right?"

Amaris raises an eyebrow, "Yeah..." She says, "Are you actually gonna let me go outside?"

"You're an adult now, I need to show you that I trust you," He says, "We'd need to be super careful, but...I think we could make it work."
