Chris looked himself in the mirror as he got ready, slightly anxious for what the evening would hold. His hair was gelled back and he wore a standard suit and tie. It was traditional for demons of all forms to wear makeup to formal events, so he painted his eyes black beneath his masquerade mask. His red eyes peered through the mask, standing out significantly. He just hoped that tonight would go well, and that he and Amaris could have a nice night together.

There's a knock on the door, and Chris turns around to face it, "Come in!"

Amaris steps into the room, and she immediately took Chris's breath away.

Amaris wore a black, floor length ball down that left a small train behind it. The dress was sleeveless but had a collar that wrapped around her neck like a choker, and the dress gave a gorgeous V- shot of her chest. Her long, black hair flowed down her back, and her masquerade mask was sharp and pointed with black and gold. She wore red contacts, making her look like many of the demons that would be present this evening.

"How do I look?" Amaris asks.

Chris's jaw drops, "Oh my Gods..."

Amaris laughs, "You like it?"

"I love it."

"Really? You don't think it's too much?"

"Amaris, this is demons we're talking about. Vanity is the name of the game."

"Do you think I'll fit in?"

"Absolutely," Chris says, taking her hands, "You look beautiful."

"You look quite handsome yourself."

"Stop, no ones gonna be able to take their eyes off of you."

"Well, my eyes will only be on you."

Chris smiles and squeezes Amaris's hands, "You ready to go?"

"I was born ready."

"Wow..." Amaris exhales as they step into the ballroom.

Chris and Amaris currently stood at the top of the stairs, overlooking the rest of the ballroom. It was dark, the only colors being black, red, and gold; these were the only colors you'd catch anyone wearing too. There were red staircases on either side of them, leading down to the main ballroom area. Candle-lit chandeliers and red lace fabrics lined the ceilings. The brick walls truly made Amaris feel like she was in another world.
