Should I do this?
Should I kiss him?
Oh Hylia...screw it.
I closed the gap, letting our lips intertwine. A warm, fuzzy feeling spread from where our lips fit together. He was so gentle, so pure, so careful. It was as if he was afraid I would break if he was too harsh.
It was in this moment I knew there was no avoiding my feelings for Link.
His hand travelled from my cheek to my waist, pulling me closer. I allowed my hands to explore his hair and back.
I wanted to be with him in this moment, forever.
I pressed my body into his, his grip on me growing firmer. His lips pulled from mine, but before I could protest they started to move down my neck, causing my breath to catch. As I met his gaze, his eyes were full of intensity and adoration. His thumb traced my cheek, before he gently pulled me toward him once again, that warm feeling spreading even more as our lips met once again. I let my hands wander to his chest and face, while he kept his firm hold on me as if he were to let me go I would float away. After several moments of kisses and caresses, Link gently pulled away. We were silent for a minute, the air filled with both contentment and questions. After all, what did this mean? Our eyes searched for the other's thoughts.
"That was...very nice." Link said with a small chuckle.
I couldn't help but smile. "Very."
Each of us turning red, Link suggested we should probably get out of the cold. I got off his lap and he rose from the ground, starting the descent. Every couple moments we would make eye contact, which caused both of us to blush and smile profusely. This went on for a while, until I realized I was descending the mountain to meet the champions – yet again coming back empty handed.
"Link...what if that spring was the last chance I had?" I asked.
Link frowned. "I really believe you'll get it, Zelda. Maybe not up there, but you will get it." He held out his hand. As I took it, he held it firmly.
"I'm sure more than anything else that you will access it." He reinstated.
I only smiled. "Thank you, Link."
For another long while we stayed silent, but he didn't let go of my hand until we were almost all the way down.
Once the Champions came into sight Link stayed by my side, but nothing more.

At the bottom of Mount Lanayru, the champions formed a small group in the distance.
"Well, here goes another unsuccessful story," Zelda murmured. She looked so disappointed, I couldn't help but feel the same. Not towards Zelda, but towards Hylia.
After all she's done up until now, they didn't find it enough.
As we neared the champions, they were all eager to hear about the trips to the springs.
