Chapter THIRTY THREE

"Drop off the 2 million in cash at the warehouse on 2134 Carmichael St. There will be a table in the center of the floor, place the money there and exit the building. 9 o'clock on the dot, no earlier, no later. Come alone or the girl dies. Once I have my end of the deal, I will hit you back with the address to your cry baby ass kid. Any false moves and you'll never see Amani again." I said into the phone and ended the call right afterwards, not even waiting to get a response. I knew Andre was smart, so he would do as I say to get his child back safely without any harm.

I looked in the rear view mirror at the little brat that was knocked out, and sprawled over the backseat of the car I'd stolen late last night. The whole bottle of night time medicine was gone because of her constant crying and nagging me to take her back to her bitch ass daddy. I got tired of her talking about the nigga, so I knocked her out. I'm not made for babysitting, so I did what had to be done to keep me sane for the time being. My nerves were already shaky as it is. It's all for a check though, and by tonight, I'll be on my way to the Canadian border so I could secure my freedom and safety for the rest of my life.

Once I pulled up to the designated hostage place, I cut the engine and then got out of the car quickly. I went around the back and got my backpack from the floor, swooped Amani up into my arms, and then carried her into the abandoned building that she'd be staying in until her dad comes to get her. It's nearing o'clock 8 already, so now I had to set all of this into motion before the drop off time. I could smell the 2 million dollars in the air already and it made me smile in delight. I could definitely finish this deal, pay these niggas off and get the hell out of the states before the night.

We went inside of the run down building on the south side and headed upstairs to the third floor of the huge house. I took her into the first room that I saw and laid her on the foul looking mattress, knocked out cold. I searched the room and got lucky enough and found a chair. I smiled deviously and went for the frail wooden piece of shit that stood barely on it's four legs. I flipped it over to the bottom and began to go to work with my plan. I didn't go to college in Louisiana for nothing, I learned how to work with bombs and other shit like that after leaving Miami. I took the explosive compact out of my backpack and began taping it to the bottom of the chair's seat. It was a bomb that would go off if I didn't deactivate it in time.

Once the bomb was securely underneath the chair and the time was set to two minutes, I grabbed Amani from the sorry excuse for a bed and placed her upright on the frail small wooden chair. I grabbed the rope from my bag and tied her feet to the bottom legs of the chair and the rest around her body and the top part of the chair. Just to be sure, I used tape to secure the rope. She didn't feel a thing as her head was slumped over, her chin was touching her chest. She was sleeping peacefully, but only if she knew that her life was in the hands of her father.

Before I could make my successful escape out of the house, the brat began to wake up from her sleep. I cursed under my breathe and sighed. Damn it, I spoke up a little too soon. She looked around the place with a scared expression and then her eyes landed on me. She automatically began to cry out loud for the millionth time this morning, but I didn't give a shit at this point. I was about to leave, so she could cry all she wanted. She couldn't even wipe her tears away, because her small arms were tied and taped together behind the chair. It sounded cruel, but fuck it.

"I want my dadddyyy," she cried louder and harder, that's when I thought about something that could shut her up. I grabbed the tape from my bag again and placed a huge piece of it across her small lips, to muffle all of the screaming that she was doing right now. The neighborhood was secluded and no one lived here, but I didn't want to take any chances of someone hearing her if they just happened to be passing through.
