Chapter 3 [Surprising Welcome]

[Location: Port Toulon]

After days of sailing finally they have arrived in France mainland. And their first stop is Port Toulon where all of them started unboard the fleet and making their first step in France. And then suddenly Vice Admiral Villeneuve started speaking.

Villeneuve: Attention everyone! For today you all will spent a night in the city of Marseille since it was already to late to start walking towards Paris. Make yourself comfortable, everybody understand? We'll provide food, I hope you all like French foods.

As the Admiral done his speech, They all follow the French soldiers who were waiting for their arrival at the port to escort them to the city of Marseille. And then a day passed and it's the day where they will walk towards Paris. (Sorry for the big timeskip.) They walked for hours and finally they see the gates to Paris, The Acre De Triompe (Correct me if I'm wrong about the name I don't quite remember it. But I think the name sounds like that as far as I can remember.)

Guinevere: Wow, so beautiful~

Odette: Agreed. I'm speechless.

Lancelot: Not as beautiful as you, my love~

Odette: "Blushing" Awww how sweet of you~

Guinevere: Not here brother, this is public.

Lancelot: Sorry, I just found a perfect moment.

Leodegrance: Come on, the Emperor wishes to see the nobles. Remember, watch your attitude. We don't want to be ashamed especially in front of the Emperor.

Then they walked towards the palace of the Emperor. The Old Guards who is guarding the door opened the door for them. So as princess Silvanna and the others. How surprisingly they meet one of Napoleon's greatest Marshal, Marshal Ney.

[Location: The Emperor's Palace]

Ney: Ladies and Gentleman, welcome to the Emperor's palace. The Emperor and his son will arrive in any minute. Until then please enjoy the drinks and foods provided.

Silvanna: Can't wait to see Granger's face after years. I almost forgot how did he looks like.

Alucard: Finally, meeting my once brother in arms. I will not forget the day he saved me from hitted from the back by a demon.

Tigreal: We are the same, Alucard.

Harith: I wonder how is he?

Fanny: Guys what happen if Guinevere sees Granger? The secrets we've been keep for year will be ruined!

Silvanna: Don't worry, we can't avoid this. Let's just apologize to her after she know the truth for keeping this secret from her. If there's one thing I know, there must be a reason why Granger didn tell her or told us to tell her.

After waiting for 20 minutes, suddenly the Old Guards outside shouted "Vive Le Emperour" 3 times along with the civilians. (It's French language which means "Long Live the Emperor" but I forgot how to spell it I think there's a bit mistake but nevermind as long as you understand the meaning.)

Alucard: What the hell is that?!!!

Silvanna: Alucard, watch your mouth!

Alucard: Sorry, I was just shocked with the sudden shout.

Marshal Ney starts speaking.

Ney: Attention everyone! The Emperor has arrived, please take your seat at the chair that we prepared.

Then the Emperor and his son enters the palace with a big smile except for his son who always have a serious face. The other Marshals arrived along with them. Marshal Ney welcome them.

Ney: Welcome back, Your Majesty.

Napoleon: Don't need to greet me like that Ney, we've been friends for a long time. Anyways, take your seats Marshals. Also you son.

Granger: Yes, father.

By the time Granger went to his seat, he passed by Guinevere. But he didn't see her.

Guinevere: That hair looks familiar to me, do I recognize him? Father? Can I ask who is the guy with that black and white mixed hair?

Leodegrance: How do I know sweetheart? I also want to know, he looks like a royal family to me.

Guinevere: No worries, I'll talk to him later.

Meanwhile Granger's old friends starts chatting each other about him.

Silvanna: Looks like he's fine after all, look how far he had been growing up.

Alucard: I want to talk to him later. Ask about his war, how does it go so far.

After Granger went to his seat, which is the special seat for the royal family. There he meet her mother, Empress Louise and his younger brother, Napoleon II. Still pretty young to join the war.

Leodegrance: Looks like he's a royal family, I'm right after all.

Guinevere: It's gonna be difficult to approach him.

Napoleon: Ladies and Gentleman, I want to say thank you for accepting our invitation to France. I do this because my son once live in your land before being recalled to France for war. Consider this invitation as a gift from me for taking care of my son, Princess Silvanna. Please deliver a speech up here, don't be shy.

Then everybody in the palace starts clapping for her as she went up to the stairs.

Silvanna: Thank you for giving me the opportunity to make a speech, Your Majesty. Ehem, I would like to thank the french people for invited us to come here. It means more than everything to us.

As Silvanna delivering speech, Napoleon went down to his seat and talked to his older son.

Napoleon: I heard this princess is not married son. Why don't you try to talk to her about this? And maybe we can merge the Empire together. Land of Dawn will be protected by us.

Granger: About that father, I think this is not a right time for that. Since we are still at war, and about the Russian invasion I don't think it's a great idea. Winter is coming soon, supplies will take more time to arrive. By the time the supplies arrived, we maybe already been pushed back from where we start. Unless we can push to Moscow before winter.

Napoleon: Don't you worry about that son, I'll make sure everything will be alright until we reach Moscow.

As Silvanna done her speech, everyone claps once again and they all will have a quick rest or continue to enjoy the food and drinks.
