Chapter 16 [Surprise!]

[Location: The Emperor's Palace]

A day after their coronation, the two waked up on the next day. After taking bath and dressed up, the new Emperor and Empress went down to the dinner room. Granger opened the door for Guinevere.

Granger: After you, dear.

Guinevere: Thank you.

The Marshals were expecting them. And greeted them. Granger enters the room and closed the door himself.

Marshals: Good morning, Your Majesty.

Granger: Morning everyone, let's eat. Please, be seated. Dear?

Guinevere: Morning to all of you too.

Marshals: Thank you, Your Majesty.

All of them seated and enjoy their meals.

Davout: So, Your Majesty, today is the day, right?

Granger: Yes, today is the day that will make me happy than ever. I called the doctor yesterday and he said he will come to this palace today. A boy or a girl, I don't really care as long as it's my son or daughter.

Guinevere: Ohh, "blushes" you make me feel better, dear. I'm worried before knowing this.

Granger: If all of them are girl, I think we will need to make again.

Guinevere: For God sake, I hope at least one of them is a boy.

Then all of them laughed.

Granger: "Chuckles" Alright, let's continue to eat. How many veterans are here, gentlemen?

Then all of them finished eating and the couple went back to their room escorted by some Marshal. Soon outside of the palace the doctor arrived.

Guard: Excuse me sir? Who are you, what do you want? Perhaps you are the doctor that the Emperor called?

Doctor: Yes I am. He trusted me because I am the doctor that is close to His Majesty father.

Guard: Very well then. You may come in.

Doctor: Thank you.

The doctor entered the palace and meet one of Granger's Marshal.

Marshal: His Majesty and Her Majesty are expecting you, follow me.

The doctor then followed the Marshal and went straight to the Emperor's room. They entered the room.

Granger: Ahh, doctor Louis. Nice to see you again. It's been a long time right?

Louis: Yes, Your Majesty. Anyways, what did you wanted me to check, Your Majesty?

Granger: You see, my wife showed some symptoms that we claim she is pregnant. Just to be sure, I called you to verify it.

Louis: No problem, Your Majesty, I will start it now then.

The doctor seated beside Guinevere.

Louis: So, before I start, I think I should introduce myself first, Your Majesty. My name is doctor Louis, and I'm the doctor of His Majesty's father before and become His Majesty trusted doctor long ago. Nice to meet you.
