// Well, let's call this chapter a bonus love scene, because I couldn't resist writing it for them...

Sylvie awoke from a nightmare in the middle of the night and instinctively touched the other half of the bed, which was empty and cold. Although she had never really experienced the feeling of waking up next to someone else who will calm her down, she suddenly had the impression that she was missing this so much. She felt bad from the dark dreams and thoughts in her head and she felt strong feeling that if she could hug Loki right now, she would feel so much better.

After a few minutes, Sylvie decided to get up and go look in Loki's room. The doors from the bedrooms were open, the corridor was dark and unpleasant silence throughout the house. She tried to be completely silent, but the old floorboards creaked uncomfortably when she walked on tiptoe.

After a while, she peered into his room. Loki lay in bed and the moon shone brightly into the room, which illuminated the room, so she had a better view as well. Just the fact that Loki was there reassured her. Sylvie entered in the room and stopped next to his bed. Loki was wearing just his secretly favorite sweatpants again, and her heart pounded. Her gaze continued across his chest to his face, she noticed that his eyes were open and he was looking at her, Sylvie twitching slightly as she did not expect it.

"Did you come here to gaze at me?" Loki asked quietly with tired voice. Sylvie was not ready for the debate, she was caught unexpectedly. Loki sat down on the bed, "are you okay?" He asked after a moment when she said nothing.

"Why..." she began quietly, hesitating to ask, "why you never stay?"

"Where?"

"You know where... in my room... in bed... with me..."

"Like you said, it's your room."

Sylvie shook her head, "this is not about a room, what if there was only one?"

"Well, It would be like in a hotel, you would have a bed and I would have a armchair... Please, go to sleep," he didn't seem to want to talk about this at all.

But Sylvie didn't seem to hear the second part of the sentence, "but many things have changed since then... I think I've already given you a few reasons what you can take as an invitation to my bed..."

Loki just stared at her, not saying a word. Sylvie sat next to him and looked into his eyes, "Sylvie," wanted to send her back to her room, but she put her hand on his and her unexpected touch silenced him.

"Give me a minute. I know it will sound ridiculous... that you're tell me it's just another human thing I have an incomprehensible weakness to do... but I thought our feelings were clear from the moment we stopped defending be together. Yeah... I could harshly say that it was just about sex, that it was about a physical desire that I fulfilled with you because you are here and that's all... it is clear to me that we have experienced this many times, but... it was different between us..." Sylvie stroked his hand, Loki looked at her and listened to every word she said, "absolutely different... and I... I really liked it... and I know that you too..." her whisper gave it a pretty erotic charge, "it awakened a lot of things in me that I would never have thought... what if I wanted to fall asleep with you and then wake up with you? What if I wanted to make love and then stay in your arms? Would you push me away and leave? Is that so bad? I know it's a damn kitschy human romance, but is there any chance we want the same thing, at least this time?"

Loki sighed, "I didn't mean to hurt you."

"So we obviously don't want the same... of course... so it wasn't the same for you as it was for me," Sylvie tried to sound ironic, but she couldn't hide that it hurt, she wanted to get up and leave, but this time Loki pulled her hand back and she ended up in his arms.

"I did not mean it that way. How did you understand that from the one sentence I said?" He looked at her in such a way that her heart pounded even more.

"So where is the problem? Why I feel that I almost have to force you to do this, break something in you, upset you or hurt you, so that you just give in to us?"

"I just want to protect you! I've been thinking only of myself all my life and now I'm still thinking about you, if you're okay and what I can do to keep you safe! I'm glad you can dream about things like that, get rid of it all, but we can't both be in a dreamy haze and just let it flow... every time I'm with you, it's so hard to focus on other things... especially when we arguing, or when we... do much more pleasant things..." this time he stroked her hand. "What if someone comes here, someone finds us, mmm? And instead of being careful, I will lie in bed with you and... I will not pay attention to what's going on around... It's not about defending what's between us because I don't want to... but because another moment when we dream like this can be quite devastating for us!"

Sylvie was in emotion, it meant so much to her how he thought of her safety, "and what if we always run? What if we will never be safe? "Her eyes gleamed.

"Then it will have to continue like this..."

"What if we don't have much time? What if they find us... and we can't protect each other or ourselves..." She was very emotionally upset.

"Sylvie..."

"No, no..." Sylvie shook her head, "I don't want to wait for it... I want my good memories... I want them as long as it goes... I want them all with you!" She lunged at Loki and began kissing him quite urgently, tears welling up in her eyes.

Loki wanted to stop her at first moment as kindly as he could at the moment, to tell her that this is really unreasonable, for the reasons he had explained to her a moment ago. But he didn't want to hurt her. She absolutely enchant him without magic.

Sylvie threw him back into bed and straddled him. She kissed him again, and it was clear that she was really not going to give up. Sylvie straightened for a moment, took off her t-shirt in a flash, pressed her body to his again, and began to kiss him longingly. If he sent her away now, it would break her heart into a thousand pieces.

Loki didn't even try to defend her anymore, he couldn't resist what they both wanted. When they made love, Sylvie finally felt the calm she needed to feel. When she ended up in his arms, they lay together exactly as she had imagined. Thanks to the small bed they were very close to each other, Sylvie lay in his arms and Loki stroked her. She didn't need anything else.

Sylvie began to realize what he had told her before. He probably hadn't slept at all most nights, that he wanted guard them from danger.

"I'll be on guard tonight and you can sleep..." Sylvie said after a moment's silence. But she didn't move, she decided to keep guard pretty close to him, to enjoy the feeling it brought her. She wanted to prove to him that they could be safe even in such a situation. Loki didn't expect how such a gesture could warm his heart. He fell asleep with a very pleasant feeling like never before.
