Eventually Timothy finished the new AI for the service bots. "Less of a bitch" is what he described it as to Lisa. She was happy, maybe the mystery would finally be over.

After installing the AI into every service bot on the station, Lisa sighed in relief. While she enjoyed fixing robots, she wanted to do other things, even explore the skills she learned at university. Skills she went into debt for, and skills she never had the chance to fully use.

They were overjoyed, after working for months of the issue, they had hoped it was finally over.

Moxxi decided to host a party in the evening, for everyone to relax and have fun. Lisa agreed to come, she didn't even need to ask Timothy. If it weren't for Timothy, she'd probably decline the invitation and drink alone on the roof. But she felt obligated to go, and she looked forward to it.

She wore a yellow dress, covered in lace. When putting it on, she sighed as she saw her scars. Luckily, nobody was going to see them as the dress reached her knees. Lisa then put on a pair of yellow heels, and brushed her long silky hair. When she saw herself in the mirror, she smiled.

It was rare for her to wear something other than sweatpants and a hoodie, but today was a special occasion. Today she wasn't going to repair machines, but enjoy herself. She was going to move on with her life. Lisa sighed, as she realized the advice Moxxi gave her so often was true. "Have some fun."

She entered the bar confidently, though she didn't want to draw attention to herself. The bar looked far more exclusive than it did before, though it reminded Lisa of a nightclub more than a bar.

Calmly, she sat down at a table. Waiting. While her and Timothy never agreed to sit together, she just assumed that would be the case. After all they spent so much time together, it only felt natural he'd come to her. Something made her feel sick when she saw Timothy at the bar with Moxxi.

Lisa couldn't understand these feelings, something made her want to go there and talk to them. Butterflies formed in her stomach as she sat, staring like a hawk. Why didn't he notice her? It was all she could think about. Why he was there and not next to her, what they were talking about. Lisa recalled how happy Moxxi seemed when she saw Timothy a few weeks before, the very thought made her shudder. But she didn't understand why she felt this way.

After a few minutes of quiet chatter, Moxxi noticed Lisa's glares. Smirking, she whispered to Timothy. They spotted her. Shit. Timothy began walking over to Lisa, while she panicked. What would he say if he asked why she was staring?

Timothy was wearing a brown suit, which made his mousy hair stand out. While his hair was still messy, it looked better than usual. His mismatched eyes radiated joy as he grew closer to Lisa.

He stood at the table opposite her, with a smile on his flustered face. Pulling his hand out he asked, "M-may I have this dance?"

All the negative emotions Lisa felt instantly faded. She took his hand, as she stared at him hypnotized. The touch of his skin felt electrifying. While she felt happy, the butterflies in her stomach stayed. It felt as if she wasn't fully there, as if she was somewhere else.

As they walked to the dance floor, the music slowed, as did everything around them. She didn't take notice of everyone around them, she didn't care. All she could do is melt as she stared into his eyes.

He placed his hand on her back, as she placed her on his shoulder. Unable to look away, they began to dance. Slowly. There was a warmth in his eyes, that was making her feel warm. At least it made her cheeks warm, as they burned crimson red.

"You... You look beautiful," Timothy whispered to her ear as they danced.

Lisa smiled, unsure what to say. While she had been called beautiful in the past, it always felt like an empty compliment from someone she never cared about. But something was different about Timothy complimenting her, something... Warm.

"You look quite handsome yourself," she purred back, as she smiled only inches away from his face. Being so close to his face made her want to take off his mask, to see his face. She wanted to see him, without any walls, she wanted to see the real him.

He smirked. Lisa felt the warmth of his breath on her face, it made her entire body shiver. It paralyzed her, as she felt her heart beat faster.

Even though the song had already ended, Lisa didn't want to let go. When she loosened her hands slightly, she felt that Timothy was still holding on. They stood embraced, in the middle of the dance-floor, in their own little world.

After a moment, his grip on her hand tightened.
"Let's get out of here," he breathed in her ear, making her entire body tingle.
