CHAPTER 21:

The next day I didn't even want to get out of bed. It wasn't that I was tired... or because I didn't want to go to school... I don't really know what it is, but I just don't want to get out of bed. "Hey, Kenma! If you don't get out of bed, we're going to be late for school!" I didn't reply and just stayed in bed, waiting for (F/N) to come up and wake me up.

YOUR POV

Last night we came back to my house since my parents were still out. Apparently, my mom just ditched me here and found a new boyfriend to live with. She called me and she sounded so excited. Honestly, I was kinda happy for her. But then again... I am her only daughter, and she just ditched me here with not a care in the world. I guess she never really loved me. Anyways, no one cares about my back story, so I tend to just keep to myself about this stuff.

Kenma didn't get up like he usually would this morning, something must be on his mind, so I just let him be after I called him down once. I decided to make him some breakfast since I wouldn't be going to school if he wouldn't.

It just occurred to me that it's almost the end of the school year and finals are upon us. Good thing I actually tried studying this time. I was so busy thinking about school that I didn't even hear my phone ringing. I went over to my phone to see who the caller was and, surprisingly, it was my mother. I called her back since I missed her phone call. "Hey mom." I said, walking back to the couch, thinking of possible reasons why the hell my mom would call me.

"Hello sweetie." My mom said in a sweet tone. Somehow, this time she actually sounded happy and at ease. "Uh, hello...?" I said consciously, wondering if this was my actual mother. "Why the hesitation? Anyway, I found a new boyfriend!" She squealed. "Uhm yeah you called earlier to tell me that-?" I said into the phone. Jeez, what is up with her? One second she's ready to kill and the next she's squealing like an annoying teenage girl. "Mhm! He seems really promising, and, guess what? He owns a huge company so we won't have to worry about money anymore! I'm planning on marrying him soon." She paused to chuckle. "Uh, what do you mean 'we'?" I asked her, finger quoting it even though I knew she couldn't see me. "Oh! Well I want my daughter to come live with us of course! You're such a sweet young lady, so come and live with us! I have a great plan for your education too, you can go to a private school and-" I cut her off. "Sorry, so I don't get a say in this? You're just gonna drag me along and think I'll mindlessly follow you?" My mother sighed, "Honey, look. I know I've been mean to you- no, a terrible mom to you, but I'm trying to change. I want you to have a bright future!"

Somehow, I felt sorry for her. I told her that I would go live with her, I mean, it's not like I have a choice anyway. She told me she would pick me up tomorrow first thing in the morning. I knew if I said no, my mother would break. I've already broken her lots of times, but this time, she would shatter. Besides, she said the house isn't that far from Tokyo, so I promised myself that I would come and visit Kenma and Kuroo every weekend.

The next morning I was reluctant to go but my mom dragged me into the car. She came at around 6am to pick me up, and I didn't even have time to say goodbye to Kenma since he was still sleeping. I left him a little note though, so I don't think he'll be that surprised.

Remember how my mom said this new house was near Tokyo, yeah, well... not so much. We drove there for a solid three hours and that's what my mom calls close. Yeah, it's gonna be a great year.

KENMA'S POV

The next morning was pretty much the same. I woke up, got dressed, and stuffed my backpack with school stuff. But the thing that was missing was (F/N)-chan. She never said good morning to me, and she wasn't cooking anything in the kitchen. I was starting to think it was some sick prank or that she just went to school early to attend to something. Until I saw her note on the dinner table. She's gone. She just... left me.

I realized that I probably shouldn't stay in her mothers house any longer since she might come over and sell it. So I took my belongings, the note, and my school stuff and left the house. I didn't really care if I was late for home room or any class as a matter of fact, I cared about (F/N) though. I wanted to know if she was safe or not. So, I went back to my house and to my surprise, my parents still weren't back. Jeez, so much for them being my god damn parents. I thought, throwing my bag to the ground.

"Ugh, screw it all, this is complete bs." I said, a little bit angry at my parents. My parents were nice... I mean I guess they were nice. Nicer than (F/N)'s parents at least. But I never thought that they would just abandon me here. They just went on their merry way, traveling the world, not even worrying about me.

I just realized that literally everyone I care about has left me. Kuroo's with his girlfriend, mom and dad are traveling the world, and (F/N) moved away to go live with her mom and her new dad. Everyone I know has left me. Abandoned me. Anger rushed through me and I stormed upstairs into my mom's room and messed it up real good. I did the same to my dad's.

For the next few days I didn't bother going to school. As a matter of fact, I didn't do anything. I just sat down and stared into space without a care in the world. There's no point in me living anymore. No one cares about me, no one has any hopes for me. I mean think about it, my own parents abandoned me. My own parents. I actually thought (F/N) cared about me. But I guess I was wrong..
