CHAPTER 22:

I started a little death note thing. Well, not like I'm suicidal or anything. Nope, that would never be me. But gosh, if I were to die, I wouldn't care. I'm not suicidal. In that notebook, I wrote reasons why I want to live, and reasons why I don't. Not that it matters though. It's not like anyone would actually care, right? I'm a lost cause, it doesn't matter how much time or effort you spend on me, I'm just completely useless. I'm good for nothing. Yeah, I might as well be dead.

YOUR POV

I felt really bad about leaving Kenma and Kuroo behind, but I was already too far away from them to say sorry. I wondered how Kenma was holding up... we've been driving a few hours, but who knows what he's doing right now. "Hey mom?" I asked. "Yes honey?" She replied. "Tell me... how come you called me over but not Tooru-?" I asked hesitantly, hoping the question wouldn't make her mad. She just chuckled. "Oh silly, Tooru's already there! I dropped him off there yesterday evening." She said, smiling at me. "Oh, I see." I said, looking out the car window.

"We're here, honey!" My mom called, shaking me awake. Wait what...? When did I fall asleep... I thought warily, still tired from waking up so early. My mom dragged me out of the car while I rubbed my eyes. I opened them to see a huge mansion standing right in front of me! I looked around at my surroundings and it was like... THIS HOUSE WAS LIKE A DANG CASTLE- "Woahhhh-" I said, extremely surprised at the size of this thing. "So... this is our house now??" I asked, pointing at the house and looking at my mom with a surprised face. "Yep! It's pretty big, don't you think?" She asked, giving me the smile that ran through my family. I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't this. I thought, grabbing my belongings from the car and walking up the stairs to our new house.

To my surprise, there was a literal butler that opened the front door for me and my mom. "Right this way, ladies." The butler said, closing the door once we got inside and motioning to come along with him. When you enter the front door, there's a huge staircase leading upstairs right in front of you. There's also a huge fancy chandelier hanging from the ceiling, carpets covered the white marbled floor. This place is seriously like a castle. I swear.

After the butler led me around the house, I chose a room I wanted to stay in. I chose the smallest room I could find. I started unpacking my belongings since I wanted my room to feel homey. "Hey 'lil sis!" A guy called, walking into the opened door and sitting on my bed. "Oh, hey Tooru." I said, paying him no attention. "Aw, what's the problem? Not up to look at your older brother?" He said in a mocking tone, tilting his head into my view. "You're such a weirdo." I said, turning my head in the opposite direction and pushing his head away.

"Anyways," I said in a serious tone, facing him. "What happened with dad? I mean... our old dad." I asked, standing up from the ground and sitting on the bed beside Tooru. "Well, he's doing fine the last time I checked. I'm sure he won't realize anything's going on, considering that he doesn't even love us." He said, closing his eyes and leaning back on his arms. "Mm, I guess he'll be fine." I said, laying down and staring at the ceiling. Well this oughta get interesting. I thought, going back to unpacking my things.

"Honey, it's time for lunch!" My mom called from the bottom of the stairs. I woke up, apparently I took a nap, and yelled an 'okay' back to her. I stood up from the ground and gosh my back hurt like hell. I fell asleep leaning against the bottom of my bed and my back felt like it was going to snap in half.

I walked downstairs to the dining room and that's when I met my new dad. "Honey look! This is your new father!" Mother said, doing a 'ta-da' show with her hands. Oh joy... I thought, wondering what kind of monstrosity he would do to me. "Hello." I said, bowing slightly. He chuckled. "No need to be so formal, I am your new father, after all." He said, smiling at me. He had blonde hair and blue eyes. I could see why mom fell for him. His gaze is so... intense.

Tooru was already sitting at the dinner table when this happened. "Alrighty, so can we start eating now? I'm starvinggg." He said, patting his stomach. "Yes, of course. Dig right in!" Father said, sitting down.
