Chapter 1:

Today is your first day of high school! You're walking with your two best friends: Kenma Kozume and Tetsuro Kuroo to Nekoma High school. You live beside Kenma's house and always go there to study. "Hey, (F/N)-chan? Kenma-kun?" Kuroo asked. You hummed in reply, too busy watching Kenma play on his PSP. "Want me to show you guys around?" He asked you, since it's his second year of high school, he knows where everything is. You averted your gaze to meet his. "Sure! That would be great!" You said enthusiastically.

YOUR POV

We were about to go to class when I realized. The day we all dreaded is here: Kuroo is going to College. "Y'know Kuroo, it'll be different here without you around." I said. There won't be anyone there to protect us from bullies anymore, no person to hide behind anymore. "I'll miss you Kuroo." I said, tears welling up in my eyes as I hugged him goodbye. "Awe, don't worry, Chibi-chan. I can still come and visit you and Kenma y'know." He said. I nodded and buried my head into his chest. I let go from the hug, wiping my eyes with my sleeve. "No goodbye hug from my lil pudding head?" Kuroo asked Kenma teasingly. Kenma rolled his eyes but hugged him anyway. We have grown together these past two years, and now, suddenly, it feels like we are being pulled apart. "Can't you stay back a year??? School will be so scary when you're gone." I said. Kuroo ruffled my hair, "No, I can't stay back a year, silly." I pouted.

I heard my phone ring from my pocket, I took out my phone and when I saw the caller ID, I was so excited. "Hello?" I said into the phone. "Hi, (F/N)-chan! How are you doing there in Tokyo?" The caller asked. "Great! How about you and dad?" I asked back. "Oh, we're doing fine. Anyway, I'm planning to go to your house next... week." The caller said, unsure. "Sure, I'll have the house cleaned up. How long are you going to stay?" I asked. "Uh, maybe around a week? Well, anyway, I'm the only one that's going. Dad has a meeting to go to. At least, that's his excuse for not seeing Mom... You know how they get when they're around each other." The caller said, sad. "Awe, I was hoping to see dad. Well, see you. I love you!" I said with a smile. "Love you too, bye." The caller said and I ended the call. "So, who was that?" Kuroo asked, his face annoyed. "Oh, it's a relative of mine, he's coming over next week. He's staying over for a week to be exact." I said walking into class. Kenma followed me in. "Well, bye, Kuroo," I said waving to him. "See you at lunch."

"Hey, Kenma? Is it just me or was Kuroo annoyed that I said 'I love you'?" I asked Kenma. He shrugged. "How am I supposed to know?" he replied. Right. He didn't even pay attention, too busy with his games. I thought glumly. "Whatever, I'll talk to him later." I said, and with that, the day started.

-Time Skip to Lunch-

"Hey, where's Kuroo?" I asked, looking around for him. "Looking for me?" Kuroo said from behind me. I jumped. "Hah! Got ya that time!" Kuroo said laughing. "Tch." "Hey Kenma! Could you come here?" Kuroo said with a smile on his face. "Someones happy today." I said teasingly. "Well, why shouldn't I be? I got the 'Best Captain' award today from Coach Nekomata." he boasted proudly. "Oooohh." Me and Kenma said in unison, nodding. "HEY, (F/N)-CHAN!!! Lev yelled from the end of the hall. "Don't yell, Lev." Yaku said, slapping his back. "Ow..." Lev mumbled. "Hey, Lev!" I said, smiling at him. "The rest of the team is waiting for you guys at our usual lunch table, C'mon!" Lev said leading the way.

-Time Skip to After School-

"Kuroo, Kenma? Wanna come over? My mom said she has an office meeting today and she won't be home until next morning. And I don't wanna be home alone..." I said, worried. "Can't you all just come to my house for the night?" Kuroo asked us. Kenma sighed, "You know how she is, Kuroo. She can't sleep on someone else's bed. And she 'feels safer' in her room." Kenma said finger quoting: 'feels safer'. "Yeah, sure we'll go over to your house, (F/N)-chan." Kuroo said, sighing.

"Wait, here lemme get my sleeping bag." Kenma said, stopping in front of his house. "Hold it. I'll bring our sleeping bag from my house, catch ya later!" Kuroo said jogging to his house. I looked at Kenma with a questioning look. He looked back and shrugged. "Whatever, let's just go to your house now." Kenma said.

Kuroo got back and was holding an oversized sleeping bag. "Uhhh, what's THAT for?" I said pointing at it. "Well, me and Kenma are going to sleep in it." Kuroo said casually. "WHAT!? I. AM. NOT. GOING. TO SLEEP WITH YOU, KUROO." Kenma said, shooting him a death glare. I chuckled. "Well, I'm gonna make dinner now. Make yourselves at home now." I said walking to the kitchen and putting on an apron. "WOOT! Yay! Chibi-chan's gonna make dinner~~~!!! Hey, (F/N)-chan, have I mentioned that you're the best cook EVER???" Kuroo said, walking into the kitchen. "OMG, Kenma, you HAVE to come here, (F/N)-CHAN LOOKS SO HOT IN THAT APRON!!!" Kuroo yelled, eyes sparkling. "Yeah, do me a favor and go watch TV or something, I don't want you staring at me like that... It's creepy..." I said, turning away from him. "Fine..." Kuroo said, pouting, I'll admit that he looked kind of cute.

When Kuroo was out of my sight, I yelled; "Hey, guys! What do you want to eat for dinner?!" "Apple pie." I heard Kenma say, in his monotone voice. "But, that's for dessert ONLY, Kenma." I said seeing them walk to the kitchen. He pouted. "Hey, do you have seaweed?" Kuroo asked me, looking into the cupboards. "Yeah, of course, I'm japanese, duh." I said, rolling my eyes. "Sushi, right?" I asked Kuroo. I mean, it's obvious he wants to eat sushi. He nodded. "Kenma, is sushi okay with you?" I asked Kenma. "Yeah." He said walking back to the couch in the living room.

"Dinner's ready!" I called, "Everybody wash your hands!" I said, setting up the table. "You too Kenma, put the device down and go wash your hands." No reply. "NOW." I said in my mom voice. "Fine, MOM." I heard him mumble. "Hey, don't be rude, Pudding Head." Kuroo said. "Rooster head." Kenma said in reply, walking to the sink. "Hey, (F/N)-chan, do you think I have a Rooster Head?" Kuroo asked me. I studied him. "Uhh, kinda?" I said smiling. "Your mean." Kuroo said, frowning. "Then don't eat." I countered. "Whatever, MOM." Kuroo said. I rolled my eyes. Am I really acting like their mom? I thought. I sighed. "Thank you for the food." We all said and started to eat.
