Chapter 9:

I woke up in the middle of the night, I heard someone shuffling outside in the hallway. I got out of bed, and went to the door to take a look. I saw Kenma walking to the bathroom. (F/N) what are you doing? Stalking Kenma going to the bathroom? I thought, slapping my forehead and walking back to bed. Then, I heard muffled sobs. I listened closer. Yep, definitely sobs. And the worst thing, it came from the bathroom.

I opened the door and walked into the hallway. I looked into the bathroom, and just as I thought. Kenma was sitting on the ground, using a knife, cutting his arms. I was terrified. I closed the bathroom door and ran to Tooru's room. I hid in his room, hoping this was all a dream. I started crying. And cried myself to sleep.

The next morning, I was on the floor in Tooru's room. "(F/N)-chan? Are you okay? Why are you on the ground?" Iwa asked me. I sat up, rubbing my eyes. "What are you doing here?" I asked him. "Oh, I slept over." Iwa said as if he did it a lot. I nodded. I stood up and went downstairs to make some breakfast.

"Want pancakes?" I asked Iwa. He hummed in reply. I decided to make banana pancakes and stacked them up. I got the maple syrup out of the fridge and got some chopsticks. "Hey! It's time to eat, sleepyhead!" I yelled upstairs. "Don't worry, I'll go wake him up." Iwa told me. "Oh, okay, go right ahead." I said, moving away so he could access the stairs. Kenma was already up and eating his pancakes. I noticed that he was wearing long sleeves, even when it's really hot out. So it really did happen.

I couldn't blame Kenma though, I don't really see the point in living either. I mean, is there a point? All you do is spend money, learn, and destroy the earth. Eventually, everyone will die. And plus, wouldn't the earth be better off without us? But, I also want to keep living though, to see another day.

Kenma didn't talk to me much today, it was like he wanted to disappear. When we went back home, I dragged Tooru to my room and made Iwa guard it. "Hey, Tooru?" I whispered. He turned to me. "Last night, I saw Kenma in the bathroom cutting his arms." I whispered, looking down remembering that night. "Do you know the reason?" Tooru whispered back. Kuroo's the reason. "No, I don't know the reason." I said, shaking my head.

KENMA'S POV

After what I did in the bathroom last night, I wanted to disappear. To vanish from this world. But I knew that wouldn't happen so easily. Even though I wanted to disappear, I couldn't help but wonder, what would (F/N)-chan do? I bet she would keep living. She's strong, unlike me. I felt bad, so I didn't talk to (F/N)-chan much today. Of course I felt bad, I just hope she didn't notice.

YOUR POV

Mom called today and said that we should come back home because she couldn't handle dad anymore. Also because mom couldn't cook the greatest food, and she wanted me to cook. I sighed, oh well, nothing I can do about that. "Kenma! We have to go back to Tokyo tomorrow!" I yelled up the stairs. Tooru and I were about to go to the supermarket to buy some food. I heard a faint hum. "Don't do anything dangerous, Kenma!" I yelled before closing and locking the door behind me. He should be fine, Iwaizumi's coming soon. I thought.

When we got to the supermarket, I read the little list I made. "Tooru, can you buy some take out, I'm too lazy to cook lunch today. I'll make up for it by making dinner." I said, grabbing a basket. "Okay!" Tooru said, as he walked to his favourite restaurant. Now, we need some curry cubes, and some more snacks. I thought, heading to the curry section first.

I was wandering around when I somehow got to the stationary section. I saw some cute pencil cases and hurried over. And, I ended up buying a whole basket full of stationary. I really gotta remind myself to never go to the stationary section. I sighed in defeat as I waited in line to check out my stuff.

Tooru was waiting in the car for me and listening to some music. "Ready?" Tooru asked me, turning toward me. "What the heck, (F/N)!" He yelled, seeing me with a bunch of bags full of stationary. "I thought I told you not to go to the stationary section!" He whined, "Now I'm running low on money." I shrugged and got in the car. Too bad for you, Tooru! I thought, smiling.

When we got home, I saw Iwaizumi about to open the door, and he saw the poor me, holding all 5 bags of heavy stationary while Tooru was holding the one bag of food. "Hey, Trashykawa! You can't just leave a girl holding all these bags! Not to mention that she's your little sister!" Iwaizumi yelled, taking 3 of the 5 bags out of my hands. "Uh, thanks." I said, heading inside. "No problem, you have to tell me when your brother is acting like an idiot." Iwaizumi said, glaring at Tooru.

"Kenma! We're back!" I said, walking up the stairs. I saw the bathroom door closed. Oh no, please no. I thought, rushing upstairs while Tooru and Iwaizumi were taking the things out of the bags. I opened the door and I saw Kenma sitting on the ground, about to cut. I grabbed his arm just in time. "You idiot." I murmured, taking the knife out of his hand. "Iwaizumi and Tooru are here. Don't do it now." I said, with a small sad smile on my face.

Kenma had a shocked expression on his face, "Y-You're not mad at me?" He whispered. "Why would I be?" I said in a soft voice, putting the knife back in it's designated spot. "And besides, yelling at you won't make it better." I said, saying the truth. Kenma started to cry, small sobs could be heard. "It's fine. Just, try to refrain from it, try." I said, patting his head and walking downstairs.

My phone started to ring. I ran over and the caller was Kuroo. I picked up and walked back upstairs. "Kuroo?" I asked. "(F/N)-chan! Where are you? Your mom said you're in Miyagi?!?!" He asked me with a panicked voice. "Yes, just calm down, Kuroo. We're fine." I said, attempting to calm him down. "What do you mean 'we're'?" Kuroo asked, calmer than before. "Kenma's here too." I said bluntly. Silence. "Can I visit you?" He asked out of the blue. "Uh, sure?" I said, with a questioned look on my face.

I sent him Tooru's address and started to eat lunch with the other boys. Kenma didn't eat much, he said he wasn't hungry. Now come to think of it, he didn't eat much for breakfast either. I pulled Kenma upstairs. "Kenma, you can't." I said. He tilted his head. "You can't starve yourself, okay?" I said, crouching down and hugging my knees. "Just, try to eat, alright? I'll make apple pie for dessert." I said, looking up at him and hoping, just hoping he would eat dinner. "Kuroo's coming over, so please." I said, putting my head back down.
