Two years later...

B was stretched out on a beach chair, receiving the most relaxing foot massage as she flipped through the pages of her Vogue magazine. The private beach was a short walk away from her family home in Guyana, nestled between the palm trees and carved in the outline of the shore. Her family was scattered around the beach, her cousins playing in the water, Amar'e, her father and some of her uncles smoking and drinking as they played dominoes while her aunts took pictures by the water.

The family trip was very last minute, but this time around Amar'e was the one who planned and executed it wanting their families to get acquainted and bond. B introduced both him and Jasmine to her great grandparents who lived out in Guyana and the rest of her family members who resided there.

"Awe baby been losing to my uncles since he started playing the game." B sighed, shaking her head as she watched Amar'e lose his third round of dominoes back to back.

"But can your uncles see him in spades?" Jasmine asked from the lounge chair next to hers, taking up for her brother.

"Ooh not the diaspora wars." B teased as Jasmine laughed.

Soon the family was heading back to the house from the beach, getting ready to go to dinner. B was under the impression she would be going with them, but not before Amar'e told her he had something special planned for them.

"Jasmine what does your brother have planned?" B asked with a raised eyebrow, watching in the mirror as Jasmine seamlessly pressed out her tape ins. She planned on leaving her hair straight down her back to go with the two piece custom set she was wearing tonight.

"He booked a session for you guys to get matching tattoos that say King and Queen." Jasmine teased as B pretended to dry heave and throw up. "You are so dramatic."

"Never asking you nothing ever again." B said as Jasmine chuckled.

Not too long after, B was in the mirror admiring the custom-made dress Amar'e commissioned for her for the trip. The dress was intricately designed with a champagne-gold base adorned with shimmering embellishments that created an ornate, almost lace-like pattern. The plunging neckline and cap sleeves trimmed with soft, feather-like accents, added a luxurious texture and movement to the design. The fitted silhouette hugged her body beautifully and transitioned into a thigh-high slit on one side, showcasing a dramatic yet sophisticated edge.

Her heels complement the look perfectly: Rene Caovilla spiral sandals with delicate straps that wrapped around her leg like a snake.

After getting dressed she met up with Amar'e in the car since he wanted to smoke first.

"You look so good baby." He said with a smile as he held the passenger side door open for her.

"Thank you babe, so do you." She smiled, giving him a kiss before getting in the car.

They soon arrived at an oceanfront restaurant perched on the edge of the shimmering coastline, where the beauty of Guyana's natural landscape took center stage. The open-air space was a perfect blend of rustic charm and tropical elegance, with bamboo accents, string lights swaying in the gentle breeze, and tables nestled beneath sprawling palm trees. The waves crashed softly against the shore, creating a soothing rhythm that complemented the atmosphere.

The scent of freshly grilled seafood and rich spices lingered in the air, blending with the saltiness of the ocean breeze. Old-school reggae flowed through the speakers, blending seamlessly with the hum of conversation and laughter from other diners. Couples swayed to the music while sipping on colorful cocktails, and the warm glow of lanterns illuminated the setting, making it feel intimate and alive at the same time.
