"Happy easter, easter bunny!" said Mike.

"It won't be so happy if I don't get these supplies in order. We're already ten minutes behind schedule" said Sam.

All her friends were painting eggs and doing fun stuff.

"No. No. No no no! What are you doing?" Sam cried.

"Making Easter eggs" said Violet.

"But you're going completely out of order!" said Sam.

"This looks like fun" said Jeff.

"It isn't fun! It's easter!" Sam shouted.

"Aw, go easy on them. It's their first easter in the factory" said Mike.

"Yes, yes, I know. That's why I want everything to be perfect" said Sam.

"Oh, come on, Sam. They've really got their hearts set on this. Let them hunt just one egg" said Mike.

"But they ain't even decorated yet" said Sam.

"You're right! We'll hunt them first and decorate them later" said Mike.

"Great idea, Mike. Then we won't have to worry about grass stains on our colored eggs" said Violet.

"NO!" Sam screamed.

Then she chilled and said "Perhaps I shall explain to our new guests how we do things around here"

Sam broke into song.

For our yearly easter fun we use the checklist

Number one, we get the eggs and we lay them out like so

Number two, we color them and dye them and take them out and dry them

Then we line the up precisely in a row

Next, we stack them and we pack them, make a list so we can track them

Tie the ribbons, stuff the baskets when it's done

Then we count them out precisely and we decorate them nicely

And when all of that is finished, we'll have fun

Cause that's the way it must be done, see

From step one, see, that's how we win

We have to be aware to start to prepare

To commence, to get ready, to begin!

"Now, shall we get to work?" said Sam.

"Me first!" said Mike.

"Very well. I have all the jobs assigned on my clipboard" said Sam.

"I'll take this one" said Mike.

"I'll do the baskets" said Violet.

"No, wait" said Sam.

The song started again.

Mike: I'll paint this red

Sam: No! Paint it blue

Wiggles: We'll take this end

Sam: That's for Veruca!

Veruca: I'll use this brush

Sam: That's not for you!

Violet: I'll tie the bows

Sam: This can't be true!

Augustus: What do you want me to do?

Sam: You take the scissors and the glue

Mike: How about we paint this something new like maybe stripes

Violet: Me too!

Sam: No no no no! Stop having fun!

We have to systemize, prioritize, coordinate and organize

Or else we'll never ever get this done!

We need order, concentration

This situation needs focus, control

We're painting and drying and packing and tying

Get together or we'll never reach the goal

Mike: I'll paint this red

Or maybe blue

Veruca: I'll stuff the baskets

Violet: I'll dry these two

Wiggles: We'll tie the ribbons

Augustus: I'll write a card

Mike: We can do it! Nothing to it

Wiggles: Look at us! We're almost through it.

Sam: No! Wait!

You're not doing it right!

Hold on!

STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPP!!!!!!

Outside the book...

"There! Do you see what you were doing?" said Sam.

"Well, ain't it oblivious? Everybody was having fun" said Mike.

"Hmph! Is that so" said Sam.

"Oh, I see your point. Everybody was having fun but you. But there was plenty of fun to go around. What'd you have to stop us for?" said Mike.

"I didn't have a choice. It was a complete and utter chaos. A disaster in the making. You were completely out of control. That's why I had to put my foot down" said Sam.
