Anastasia's POV:

These past few days everyone was treading on eggshells when it came to conversating with me. I had so many emotions at the moment, and the fact that Nico was still in his coma was not helping.

I've heard my brothers talking about our father moving locations. Although he made it easy for them to find where they are staying, moving from place to place has made it harder to catch him. I just wanted him dead. I was tired of these so-called parents coming back into our lives to cause nothing but destruction.

Having a target on my back has made this ten times much harder for me. My brothers decided that it was best that I did not leave the estate. Suffocated. That is what I feel. I appreciate them checking up on me but sometimes I just need to be alone. Can't even cry in peace without having someone interrupt me.

I was laying in Nico's bed, of course wearing his clothes. I had just spent some time in the room where he was currently being monitored at. I groaned hearing someone knocking on the door. I peeked over to see it was Adrian. He had been assigned to be my babysitter which I did not appreciate. They think I am a ticking time bomb.

With all the new information that has come to light, I know that they expected me to be vocal about it. I just didn't have the energy for all of this, not just emotionally but physically.

"I don't want to leave, but it's time. They need me to go with them. Evangelina will be checking up on you." Adrian announced.

"I'll be fine. Be careful all of you, he is a very unhinged man. Blood or not that man does not care that you are his children." He nodded, placing a kiss on my forehead.

The estate had been heavily guarded. Calvino wanted to be prepared in case he was stupid enough to come here to try and finish the job.

It had been about an hour since they left. Evangelina and I were in the kitchen. She was teaching me how to cook some Italian dishes.

I was going to take over one of the restaurants that are currently being run by Alek. I was free to make any changes and at the moment that was the current menu. So trying these new recipes not only kept my mind off of things but it was helping me with finding foods for the new menu.

"Here try this." Evanlgina brought the wooden spoon up to my lips. The tomato sauce was good I could taste the bit of spice that she added.

"It's really good."

"You know, I've noticed something different about you the past few days." She gives me a look like she knows something I don't know.

"Like what?" I paused, completely confused. I was obviously sad but I knew that everyone knew that.

"You just remind me of me." She said while checking on the chicken. "I know you told me that you couldn't get pregnant, but was it a for sure thing that you couldn't." She said carefully. It was a touchy subject but I have accepted it, it doesn't hurt as much anymore.

"After we found out the doctor referred me to a specialist and he told me that I couldn't."

"I've seen the way that you can't hold down a certain food. Not only that but your emotions have been all over the place. I don't think it is impossible may be harder for you." She had stopped as she was doing to look at me. I froze processing her words.

Could it be possible?

I shook my head in denial. It wasn't possible and I've made my peace with it.

"I know this is hard, but the signs are all there." With one last look, she continued to cook. I sighed and shook my head in denial.

Doctors are never wrong, right?
