The spotlights lit up the night and though it made it easier to see for you, it also did the one thing you didn't want. It drew attention to yourself. You maneuvered around the lights, doing your best to avoid being caught this early. Whenever you got a chance, you found yourself behind a tree for cover.
There weren't many people walking around outside, you assumed they were all inside. You weren't too sure whether they knew about the destruction at the Last City, if they did wouldn't they be rushing around? That didn't matter though, you just wanted those radios.
You swiftly made your way over to the side of the concrete building, pushing yourself against the wall. You looked around the corner and saw a guard blocking the doorway inside. There was no one else around the area. You quickly shot your head back, the guard almost catching you.
"How do I get in..." You thought to yourself, but that was when a thought popped into your head. It was risky, but this whole operation was risky. Now you realized what you were planning on doing, you were breaking back into WICKED. You may have done it before, but you had Thomas, Newt, Gally, and Teresa. This time your alone and you had a kid to get back to. You couldn't screw this up, you couldn't.
Shaking the negative thoughts out of your head, you looked around the corner and watched as the guard surveyed the horizon. You took a deep breath and turned the rest of your body around the corner. You didn't move forward, you just wanted to be seen. Luckily, you were. The guard turned her head to meet eyes with you, and the moment she did, you went around the corner again.
There was no turning back now. Your heart was beating so hard in your chest and your breathing was heavy. You could feel your hands trembling and your breath hitching in your throat. Why were you so nervous? You were never afraid of WICKED before, what made this so different?
It suddenly reminded you of the fight with Janson in the WICKED building. It reminded you of being chased down hall after hall by guards. It reminded you of the whole building sucking you in. Watching Newt succumb to the flare and try to kill you. This all happened at WICKED, because of WICKED. You were always so caught up in the moment you never realized how life changing all these events will be. The effects of all these moments were going to cause some major problems for you mentally. You already showed signs of this at the fire with Gage. You were quickly snatched from your thoughts when you heard a voice and footsteps nearing.
"Whoever you are, come out with your hands in the air!" They called out and you tensed up. You once again pushed all your problems to the side and focused on the task at hand.
You took a deep breath, letting your anxiety go and waiting patiently. Slowly but surly, you saw the tip of a hand gun peak around the corner of the building. Without hesitation, you reached out, snatching the gun and throwing it away. Once that was done, you didn't even give the guard time to process before you grabbed them by the shirt and threw them against the wall.
You couldn't see them well but they looked skinny, wouldn't put up as much of a fight. The guard got up and charged at you, but you were faster then them. You grabbed them by the shoulders and pushed them even faster towards you. You then slammed them into your knee. From that point, you took them and nailed the guard in the jaw. They gave a good punch to your gut but you retaliated by slamming them hard into the wall, knocking them unconscious. You looked around to where all the spotlights shone down on the open area but no one seemed to have noticed the minor showdown.
You bent down, snatching the gun from off the ground. You scoffed when you saw that the gun was still on safety. This girl wasn't going to shoot you, but she probably didn't even know that. You walked over and put your back against the wall, looking around the corner to the door that was once guarded.
You knew you couldn't just waltz in there, it didn't matter whether the Last City was down or not, this was still WICKED and you were still wanted. None of these people seemed to know what happened back at their home operation. The one thing you needed to figure out now was how you were going to get inside without being caught.
You slowly turned to look at the unconscious body of the guard slumped against the concrete building. You sighed heavily, knowing what you had to do. Though you didn't like it, you knew that you had to wear the uniform of your enemies once again.
"What size are you?"
